when my friend was talking about his new gear, i replied ''that's cul'', and for some strange reason is was censored. why is it? i always thought of the word cul a slang word for the word cool, and if it so bad then why isn't the word cool censored?
why is the word cul censored?!
It's an odd thing to be censored. Do they not have cul de sacs in France? I never thought of the expression as being especially vulgar.
But then again... why did you use that word in place of "cool" in the first place? As slang goes, it confuses me: the word isn't much shorter, doesn't change the areas of the keyboard used, and it's a much less clear way of saying the same thing.
Why is "wolvergal", the username of a SK knight, censored? The world may never know.

It's not exclusively in France. It's a general term for any dead end. It's usually hyphenated though, and "cul" in that context means "bottom". Cul, however, is censored for its use as the word meaning "ass".
Actually, as far as my knowledge of French goes; Cul, means 'arse' (the slightly nastier, European version of ass) and Cul-de-sac literally translates as 'arse of the bag'.
So in essence I'm saying what you're saying only adding the fact that the translation of Cul is slightly worse than 'ass'
My friend asked if I wanted to do LD, and I said Shure. It appeared as:
S%$#* He was like wth.
Why is it censored?
Doesn't cul mean butt in french? At least, that's what 5 seconds of googling is telling me.
