Make it either a solid gauge or a numerical value instead of block units. This would make it far more reliable and accurate to read, especially since the health system already has a decimal calculation factored in.

It can be like this.

Knight base HP = 50.
Health +1 = extra 10 HP.
Small/Medium/Large hearts = 10, 20, and 30 HP recovered respectively.
Small/Super/Ultra Health Capsules = 30, 60, and 120 HP recovered, respectively.

This would allow people to read their health far more easily and how damage and defense is factored in.

Thoughts?

I don't see what's wrong with

I don't see what's wrong with our current bars; I actually found them very easy to read. It only separates it into halves, not quarters like in LoZ.

Meanwhile, here you are giving me numbers bigger than 1, 2 and 12. How is this helpful?

My healthbar told me

My healthbar told me sometimes that I was at max, yet I could still pick up one last heart. I think what Foxhound wants is a really accurate way to see that difference, taking us a step closer to finding out the hard numbers behind the game. That's not happening, though. The devs pretty much said they're not making the damage calculations easy to find out. Besides that, the bars work fine. The average player doesn't care whether he has 5.5 bars of health or 5.6, it's effectively the same.

Think about vitapods for a second and you'll see why a solid bar is a bad idea compared to 1hp blocks. Also, a numerical value can't be read in peripheral vision like the blocks can.
