there should be bonuses for using an entire set of armor. i.e. full skelly set gives higher life bonus+ attk+ def+ dex+ speed+ immunities. instead of just individual bonuses for upgraded pieces. also it would be amazing to see the individual statics for each item. i.e. atk-def-spd-etc-etc.

I wouldn't want that, cause then you are kinda forced to wear full sets. I don't see that as a positive.
Also, i imagine that if they did this the bonus for the full armor set would not be something in addition to what you get. I.e. the bonus for full demo suit would just be the same charge reduction you get not for wearing it. The difference being that if you just wore 1 piece you'd get no bonus.
Just speculation though.

i was thinking more like they had it in diablo. certain sets were available but then there were still individual items that were not part of sets that were even more powerful but very difficult to come across. just a thought
I totally agree with you having bonuses when you have an entire set of armor would be awesome and really useful especially for me cause I don't like to mix different armor pieces.
