I need to know if i should get the snarbolax set or the skolver set first i already have the vog set. Some thing you might want to know is that I run FSC maybe 4 times a week, I do LD sometimes not very often for tier 3 though but i really want to know which one is better to get first or should i get a shadowsun slicker first then do snarbolax or skolver?

Moo~~

An elite gunner, such as yourself, should go for shadowsun set first. Also, dont bump it after 5 min, when it havnt even been moved down. Be patient. Bumping are against ToS and you can get banned.

Bumping isn't really hated on... just don't bump something when it's only been 5 minutes. Bump when it's been 2 or 3 days without a response.

Also, Skolver.

Bumping is a decent practice

Bumping is a decent practice to draw attention to something genuinely interesting that's fallen by the wayside, like Bazaar threads or certain Treasure Vault Hall of Fame threads.
Not for question threads after five minutes and no movement at all from its spot on the page.

To reiterate your question, that just depends on what you're going after and if you have the resources to acquire Snarbolax armor. Piercing isn't common in PvE, but absurdly prevalent in PvP, so if you do a ton of Lockdown, go for Skolver.
Deliverers of Shadow Damage are some of the most infamous keyboard smash worthy enemies in the game (kats, greavers, devilites) so Snarbolax is a bit of a smarter option for PvE, but getting Faust'd in PvP is a death sentence no matter how much crap you have on.

Do you really need to ask this question?

You're T3 and apparently contemplating doing an SL. You should know very well which set would help you more. Do you more often wish you had a set of pierce armour or a set of shadow armour?

Not. Rocket. Science.

I should've thought about this.

Yeah I should've thought about it shadow deffence is needed for missions like LoA and it makes FSC a lot easyer because all the enemies there besides the red rovers do shadow damage but, skolver looks really cool but illl just get snarbolax TY for responds.

The OP did say "first".

His/her posts aren't very well-written, but I thought s/he managed to make that clear, at least.

@Storm-Shooter I'm guessing

@Storm-Shooter

I'm guessing that you don't know that you have to beat the shadow lairs in order to make the Snarby set.

.... besides the red rovers

.... besides the red rovers do shadow damage....

I just noticed, but you seem to think that Red Rovers do shadow damage. They do pure elemental damage. Elemental. NOT shadow.

@alynnAll the enemies there

@alynn

"All the enemies there besides the red rovers deal shadow damage."

As in, the red rovers do a seperate kind of damage. He has some idea of what he's talking about.

@Alynn @Cryoworld

@Alynn "it makes FSC a lot easyer because all the enemies there "besides" the red rovers do shadow damage" READ IT FIRST!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
@Cryoworld I do know that you have to finish a SL and get a special mat for each piece or why would I be asking this if I didn't know how to make one set if I didn't know i would go for skolver because I dont even know how to make snarbolax but I do know how to make snarbolax set.

it's hard to tell how ignorant a poster is

"why would I be asking this if I didn't know how to make one set"

We get asked questions like this all the time, by people who have no idea that Snarbolax armor is crafted in the Shadow Lairs. We can't automatically infer what you know and what you don't know. Don't take it personally, and please don't snap at people who are trying to help you.

I'm totally a mind reader

I'm totally a mind reader guys. I can tell who has and who hasn't been to the shadow lairs. /sarcasm

Anyway, I'd suggest getting Snarby set. I've yet to actually make Skolver.

Really, both have their uses and one necessarily isn't better than the other.

Can you even complete a SL?

That will affect your choice.

you have vog already which is

you have vog already which is better than snarbolax for FSC (especially if you prefer DA over the brandish line like me). Skolver and snarby are both useful in lockdown, but i tend to use skolver for the piercing damage (i get killed from 2 hits in granfaust when i use snarby anyways). snarby is really useful in LoA and the tier 1 and 3 shadowlairs though. i hardly use skolver unless i end up with beast/slime based levels in the clockworks or have an urge to do LD. In terms of looks, would you rather look like a typical skolver clone "storm trooper" or a fly with a mutated arm? If you're worried about the SL needed to make snarby, I did that in vog the first time i went with very little deaths surprisingly. I think you'll do fine without it for the rabid snarby SL.

I don't know what a SL looks

I don't know what a SL looks like or how hard it is but, I don't think it would be impossible plus my swords I use are WRH ,Combuster ,FF ,Gran Faust , and FoV.And I think the monsters there are zombies and wolvers(at least UGWW)so I could just use this as my loadout:
WRH
FF
Combuster
Polaris
Vog set
Dread Skelly Shield

it's not impossible

I don't know what a SL looks like or how hard it is but, I don't think it would be impossible

No, a Shadow Lair is not impossible. People do them all the time with the kind of gear you're proposing. So, if you're really good, you'll make it through without too much pain. On the other hand, if you're not really good, then you'll spend a lot of energy reviving. Good luck.
