i, and some others have come up with some amazing new weapon ideas. please tell us what you think of them. first, an all new weapon class: staffs/wands. for staffs and wands, if you attack, they will do minimal damage. but, if you fully charge them, you can select a player your with and heal, increase damage, or add an status effects. EX: you have a fire staff and you use it on an ally, that player has a chance of doing flame damage. for every star there's a bigger effect and better chance it will work. second idea: gun attachments. gun attachments add abilities like flame thrower, where instead of shielding, you cast out a burst of flame. or sights and scopes add range to your gun. also, a player could add a laser and it would point and even auto aim the gun. once more, please reply and tell us what you think.

Heals is alredy a NO.
Status effects can be overpowered wth multiple staffs/weapons with a preexisitng status.
Laser? use the mosue cursor.
Scopes? this isnt a shooter.
More range?Besides giving you a big advantage depending on the level, the screen isnt that big anyways, you cant see so far.
Secondary attacks like flamethrowers also removes the only weakness some guns have, like close range crowd control, turning your Polaris into an unstoppable terminator.

Bring forth these "others" and define "amazing".
Something that does a little damage and can inflict a status? That sounds very familiar. Obviously no healing or giving the ability to inflict a status to an ally. It would be far too complicated for you to even comprehend if you think healing would be a good idea for a weapon.
Flamethrowers as a weapon. If you want guns to have all these advantages go play a first person shooter.
No auto aiming. We already have a feature which more than compensates for personal lack of coordination/skill. Learn how to aim like a real gunner.
This is not D&D. Despite what the Magic line says, we don't do magic.
Healing is OP, unless the healing is ridiculously low like the heart generators in some FSC levels... in which case, it's useless.
We already have various ranged weapons that have status abilities, as well as haze bombs.
I would rather have my shield than a flamethrower. Otherwise I wouldn't be able to shield cancel or shield bump.
We already have auto-aim. The mouse cursor is also a pretty good indicator of your current attack direction.
Besides, if I had auto-aim on my alchemers, I wouldn't be able to do trick shots. I find auto-aim to be a pain in the a-
So, all in all, no.

Just no.
