I've seen people post forums of their knights picture, so how do you that? I play this game off steam so maybe its unavailable to steam players perhaps?

It isn't. You don't actually get a picture of your knight, you just get a standard stock picture you can choose.
Click on 'Forum Preferences' at the upper right of the page, click 'Edit'.
Choose whatever picture you want, then press 'Save'.
Congratulations, you now have a shiny picture by your posts!
