I started playing Spiral Knights yesterday and so far I'm loving this game. The community is surprisingly friendly, which is awesome. However, as most newcommers I am kind of confused and I was hoping that you can help me out.
1. Is there endgame? What happens when you reach the core?
2. Are the dungeons equally hard with 1 and with 4 people? (aka is solo/2man possible?)
3. Am I going to be able to collect enough crowns to refill my crystal energy as I please at some stage?
4. For these 2 days, I have reached the end of Tier 1 so I have started crafting the items needed for Tier 2. This is going to take a few days, because they require 50 energy each. I don't mind this, though. I enjoy games where gear isn't easily accessible. My question is: I crafted Calibur and it said that it was unique: more damage to Gremlins. Should I consider myself lucky? :D
5. When I crafted the item it said that I succeeded. Does this mean that I can fail, too?
6. I saw PvP preview videos on youtube. When can we expect to have this option? Seems like alot of fun!
Well, this is all I can think of right now. Please, keep in mind that English isn't my main language so forgive me if I have lots of mistakes. Thank you in advance. =)
Hello everyone! I have a few questions.

- The Core is not implemented yet.
- Monsters scale up in terms of health for larger parties.
- Yes, a run such as the Jelly King can give you more Crowns per Energy than current market value.
- Lucky you, you've got what is called a Unique Variant. This is a random chance while crafting to get a bonus ability on a piece of equipment.
- Not that anyone is aware of.
- PvP was in the Preview Event for testing purposes. It's not yet ready for prime time and will come out when it's good and ready (when it's done).

In addition to what Dogrock said:
2. Monster health scales up with party size, but not linearly. Also, simply having fewer monsters per person in the busiest of rooms generally makes it easier, so it will be a bit easier to play with a larger party. Also, when you die solo, you have to revive with energy. When you die in a party, a party member can give you half his remaining health to revive you, saving you energy.
Soloing is certainly possible and I do it frequently, but I can go deeper with one or more people playing with me than I can on my own.
I see. Thank you guys, you really helped me!
Besides what everyone else said:
1. There's a boss named Lord Vanaduke at the lowest levels. The devs don't like to call him a "final boss" because there will be more bosses in time, but yeah, he's pretty much the Spiral Knights equivalent of an endgame "raid boss" in another MMO. Beat him enough times and you can get a sweet sword.
3. Right now, Tier 2 is when you break even. However, there's no guarantee that crystal energy will stay this cheap.
