Chat color

I'd like to have messages written by users to be displayed in a different color, if possible.
Since they can get easily lost among the loot notifications.

yea i agree.. i also think that the users name should be a slightly different colour from what they are saying.. it would make it a lot easier to follow a conversation without it just looking like a blob of text

Admittedly, we had no loot notifications back then, so there was no point to the colors in the chat.

I kinda miss the color so it's easier to tell apart people's chats.

I personally don't miss the old chat system where chat from players used their personal colors. I think it makes more sense to distinguish types of chat by a color, so you know the green color is guild etc.
That said we can certainly improve on how distinguishable various types are right now. And I'm sure we'll get around to that too, there are many things we'd like to do at this point so have patience with your suggestions ;)

On that note Poseidon, maybe some sort of tab feature could be put on the chat window so you could display only guild chat and so forth.
Currently, guild chat is green, so just leave the text all green when it's guild, but the colored names with white text could remain for main chat. There's still distinguishing that way.

How possible it is, I don't know, but I don't see any reason not to completely copy and reskin the Y!PP chat interface. No need to reinvent the wheel.
They used to be that way, I don't know why it suddenly changed.
