So yeah, been playing for a decent amount of time and have been noticing something in terms of getting damage...At times there are attacks that hit me that SHOULD kill me, but don't (ex. I have 5 pips of health and something hits me for a usual 8 pips but I'm left with 1). I'm sure many people have noticed stuff like that, but does anyone know the exact mechanics behind it?
"Undershirt"?
In this game, there's something often called the last stand mechanic. Basically, if a hit would normally have killed you, you're reduced to 1 pip instead. I'm not sure exactly how it works, but I know I can rely on having 3 health as two "lives" as much as I can 5 health.
Pip, bar, IDK what the standard terms for PARTS OF YOUR HEALTH in this game are...
That's the thing though, sometimes with 3 bars I'll be left with 1 after a strong hit, and sometimes I'll just outright die (as it "should" be). Wondering if anyone has more accurate information on the matter. :S
You take more damage the more health you have. By extension, you take less damage the less health you have.
Hmmmmm. Oh yep, i saw a video abusing it :D

Yup. This guy is pro too, watch his other SK vids (even though he has quit :( Like soloing JK in full proto set.. :P)
Well, that definitely helps clear most things up, haha. Thanks for the link Incineron.
I'm still wondering about the "exceptions" though...(besides the obvious fire inflict after an attack, etc)...
The bars that fly off you are actually half a pip each.
