Yes - the training mission with the Rawzog (spelling?) dude or whatever is on the surface. Haven is on the surface. I assume BlastNetwork and Lockdown are somewhere on the surface?
But why aren't there more places to discover on the surface? Surely its a large surface area and Haven seems quite small (even if there are ~75 of them.) "Free-roam" would be cool over the surface of Cradle without the need for energy (and able to earn a minimal crown amount per hour or day during this free roam).
And to pose another question...
You know those massive gears that turn, that carry 'globes' (which we call depths) and deposit them in position for the elevator? How come we can't fight ON the gears or explore them? Or outside of a depth yet still inside the planet?
Wouldn't it be cool to explore what actually turns the Clockworks (and don't say Core [even though I want to see the core as much as the next Knight])?
<<<< --Just look at the background image around this Forum--- >>>>
See those gears with the lights? Is someone conducting routine inspections and spraying WD40 to make sure they turn cleanly? And can we kill them for MOARRRR crowns? It would be a cool thing to add and explore and to make Spiral Knights that much "deeper" (puns!) without releasing the Core... because we all know the Core won't ever see our trusty brandishes.
If this confuses you don't bother replying /wink
I guess this is semi-suggestion and semi-pondering/whatif.
Thanks

I believe that is exactly what's happening here.
