That looks like a variation on the standard Slimeway.
At least my new Blackhawk will be getting some use, I suppose.
I think OOO just wants to design a mission where Dragon Scale is actually decent equipment.
Fire+Poison, with Slimes and Grems... probably going to be some Oiler+Scorcher combos there. Start crafting your Dragon Scale and Shivermist, folks!
At any rate, I think this is gonna be pretty awesome. Pro tip: Shivermist cools off burning Oilers unless you're unlucky and they get froze in their own burning oil patch.
Ooooooh, I see what they're going for. Its industrialization on the grasslands, probably nuclear. There's been a fire, so all the radioactive slimes and fire is going everywhere, and we have to go in and contain is before it threatens Haven or whatever. That, or the Gremlins just fluffed up production and we're using the opportunity to raid their stuff.
well time to kill some jelly, next mission after that think will be beast/ gremlin/ dare say fiend (smile evily).
Lemme guess... Second invasion of slimes? The first slimes came from a meteor, so...? I mean, the shadow fire support this theory...
/shrug
And is it just me, or is that polyp in the pic a mix of poison and fire? ._.
YES, LET'S PUT A CROWN ON EVERY SLIME! MORE ROYALTY SLIMES, IMPOSTO KING!
Oh man, i would LOVE to see some more barons. That one Clockworks level with the Toxilargo spawn in it is one of my favourites; I imagine an Oiler Baron and a Toxilargo at the same time would be Danger Mission-level terrifying.
@lordofnecromancers: no, just a standard Slick Polyp.
Actually, that could be a background story. After the defeat of the king/queen, various slimes try to claim the throne.
The slick polyp tier 3 looks a bit different than that polyp.
Hey OOO.
Put in all lichens.
Put in toxilargo's and oiler baron's.
Put in any new monsters that come with this mission.
Lastly put in slooms and sloombargo's.
Ohgodyes, Oiler Baron!
Also, if Linguini is right, it proves OOO still reads the Suggestions.
I wear Choas Cloak..
Status affect cancel out?
Those symbols on the polyp (and the oiler in the backround, as well), are wierd, are they new enemies or new skins?
More fire, how many more dungeons are going to use "fire" on it? (I mean, even if there aren't actual fire mobs in Legion, there are some fires spread around sometimes...)
I suppose the poison part will be large enough, though. Maybe this will be a "all status effects" dungeon even, that would be fun enough - and challenging.
Even so, really cool to have a new mission coming soon enough!
Speaking of which, Cronus made an announcement saying there will be an update of some kind on Wednesday. I'm almost certain that it won't be the actual mission yet, and will probably be mostly or exclusively behind-the-scenes stuff, but you never know what you might find.
Yeah, my guess is it'll go on the Test Server at least before we see it rolled out in-game.
Two weeks, maybe three, minimum. (/speculation)
I've been getting tired of undead. Hope its difficulty (and payout) is on par with legion of almire.
I wonder if they took the suggestion that different slimes should be able to merge with each other.
A ToxiOilLargoBaron sounds painful though.
Fire/Posion Slimes (With a few gremlins) seems interesting, Considering that The Status Lichen are a bit rarer than most other Status creatures (To me, at least.)
But...What's that Purple Glowey stone guy in the back? A trojan or something? Maybe the statues that are everywhere in RJP come to life? :P
@Qbul
That's a Gremlin Scorcher, my friend. Most things on-screen are weak to Shadow.
Looking at it, It is. I did not recognize it at first as I haven't Played T3 in...Months. If It was the front, I would have known instantly. XP
I hope they don't rotate danger missions. Please don't OOO. I would so burn all my mist everyday on danger missions if able...
Glad to see they're already working on another one though. LoA got easy.
Goodbye, sweet processor of mine. It was nice knowing you for 3 years...
Poison traps are one of the only reasons I wish I was running Windows instead of MacOS. Another one of those reasons is shadow fire. That said, I haven't had a lot of time to play recently but I do enjoy what I've been able to play of Legion of Almire, and I'm excited to see what else is in store.
I've always loved jellies...:3
They are just so amazing! Now, I'm definitely hoping that these slimes will be more than just Oilers - perhaps we could have some type of Quicksilver Colony? I think that the idea of that both makes me excited and terrified.
Overall, looking forward to this! However, you know that if Jellies are coming, they may be striving to get Danger Missions of every type coming...including fiends, which are already a danger room in themselves. :)
This is great! I had just started crafting a Deadly Virulisk Mask!
Has anyone identified the gray, lumpy thing next to the gremlin in the background?
@Zeddy: it's a gremlin scorcher with its back turned, I think.
I had the insantiable urge to consistantly heat up my Wyvern Scale Shield and finally to craft it into Dragon Scale not to long ago, and I can see it'll be useful.
@Vagueabond: Actually, I believe Zeddy is refering to the creature on the right of the mender, which appeaers to have horns. From the looks of it, it appears to be an oiler with a mildly different reskin. could be a new version, or just simply new art, since at the moment that really does look more appropriately oily.
EDIT: Also, judging by the surrounding terrain, this mission may ACTUALLY be taking place on the surface of Cradle, a rarity in mission. Intriguing
It's more like a 'lichen farm' gremlins made to experiment. Or a lichen meteorite simply crashed inside inside one lab and the grass and trees are lichens 'terraforming' the place to simulate their habitat. All the fire indicates that there was some kind of accident.
Since the room floats into a dark background, no sunlight, it doesnt feel like the surface.
OOO just posted a second teaser image.
I feel like these slime enemies maybe are BOTH fire and poison; the oiler attacking has a greenish underglow and has just inflicted a poison status (I think).
Or, like Obsidious says, new art.
I don't think it's the surface.
Time to get my alt fire max on his Shadowsun gear <.>
Those are definitely new slimes, given the second teaser and what looks like poison spread animation; a poison/fire hybrid. At least I they look like it; eithe way, we'll find out.
Have to say, though, that these new slimes might present what the plot of the mission is about, possibly somekind of experiment the gremlins are up to, but considering the fire, it's ended in disaster.
Also, it was diffuclt for me to tell the background with the first picture since there wasn't much, but I can definitely see this will be taking place underground.
On a final note, it looks like Dragon Scale shield will definitely get to shine here.
@Vague HAH! Toldja that that polyp was a mix of fire and poison. In yer FACE! >:D
Now I'm wishing I crafted a wyvern scale armor instead of silvermail. ._. At least I still got my wyvern scale helm.
Thank god dragon scale line was the first type of armor I ever crafted :3
Poison fire jellies, niiicee..
I'm gonna just leave this here and back away slowly...
Okay this looks fun. I'm pretty decent at slimes so I'm going to enjoy screwing around in this mission.
Looks fun! I'm hoping we get regular danger missions for us to enjoy the challenge of!
