Hey guys, I'm new and am looking for a tip on which 3* equips to go.

So far, I have wolver set + brandish + the buckler shield (snar fang one)

I am considering getting a Nightblade, but is it a wise choice and does it do more damage than say a normal brandish (assuming the monster isn't resistant to shadow damage) .

Processing Thoughts of You Always

Elemental and Shadow damage are equal on neutral enemies.
The only difference is the lack of status on the Shadow version, but an Acheron is extremely worthwhile in the long run.

Personally, I'd prefer my Divine Avenger over an elemental Brandish, but that's just a matter of personal preference since I like the extra knockback on the heavier sword. After that I'd pick the Combuster, simply because it is easy to get and generally deals the most damage out of the elemental Brandishes. (Fire doesn't lock your enemy in place, so your enemy can ride the full wave - although it's possible to get extra damage using clusters of enemies shocking each other whilst locked in a Vortex bomb.) Voltedge is good, but difficult to get. Glacius would be my last choice, because having Freeze on a sword is often counterproductive when you want knockback rather than an enemy stuck in your face.
Of course, other people will tell you that Glacius is good at setting up for an extra charge from behind.
It's all a matter of personal preference as to which one is best... but I'm getting off topic.

Last point to consider; there are more main game bosses weak to elemental than there are weak to shadow (not including the OCH boss, Seerus). Constructs also tend to be more common than Gremlins in my experience, and are normally found alongside Gremlins.

If you don't already have an elemental sword, then get both.
You will always be able to deal at least neutral damage to all enemies.

Get Nightblade first.

Then get Dusker. (I presume you already have a Snarble Barb to upgrade, since it's free.)

Btw guys, do the brandish

Btw guys, do the brandish types charge proc differently? I have a friend saying the fireburst one consistently deals out the proc but i use the iceburst and its like a 30-40% chance that the enemies get frozen.

Btw guys i got dusker coat now , but should I aim for elemental hood or dusker cap?

Adapt to your enemy.

Are you aiming to do RJP? Then full Dusker.

Would you rather do IMH? Then Ele Hood.

Or just think of what damage type enemies give you more problems. Consider status resists, too.

Thanks Derp, I see, hmm tough

Thanks Derp, I see, hmm tough choice. Whats the consensus on IMH Vs RJP ? out of the two choices, which is better overall though for a person aiming to get a first full 5* set

RJP still pays out somewhat more, I think.

Also, you lack Ele armour, right? That's a downside for IMH.

However, unbinding and AHing Pulsars (obtained using tokens earned in IMH) can be very profitable! (Look in the AH and see what price points have bids on them. Usually pretty good.) Your call.
