How do you think this loadout would be?

Hi all I'm a fairly experienced player who has no problems soloing anything exept shadow lairs.
Lately I've been thinking on a lot of loadouts and wanted one that would be usable everywhere in the clockworks.
Exept for SL as I think they require total specialisation.
So I srarted pondering and came up with this out of my arsenal:

-chaos cowl
-chaos cloak

-swiftstrike buckler

-barbarous thornblade (ctr med)
-acheron (asi vh)
-storm driver (ctr med)
-valiance (ctr med)

-elite trueshot module
-elite sword damage module (can't remember name right now :s)

So. This is what I came up with to use for the complete clockworks.
I can dodge without problems and the status weaknesses don't bother me.
What I would get would be asi high for my guns and swords as well as damage vh for both and ctr maximum! For all exept the acheron.

So now I would like to know what you think about this equip. If you want me to explain my weapon choices please tell me.

looks great

The combination of piercing sword, elemental gun, and shadow sword works extremely well. I guess that Valiance is in there, just to let you gun against gremlins and beasts? Maybe Sentenza would be better for those?

I would replace Valiance with an elemental Brandish or Blitz.

Blitz is better at Gremlins and Beasts than Sentenza, especially with all that CTR.

The reason I decided on valiance

There are 3 reasons I decided on valiance.
Reason 1 is that it was my first 5star item so it has great value to me.
Second reason is it has a ctr med uv so it gets max ctr which I love :D
And the last reason is I'm mainly a gunner and want to have an option to fall back onto gunning in whatever situation I get. Therefore normal damage is the best and the loadout has a sort of ctr themed set.

I appreciate it that you replied so soon Bopp as I think highly of what you say as all posts I've read from you sounded reasonable and helpfull

I really don't like the blitz as it doesn't fit my playsyle at all. Also as stated I'd rather stay with the valiance as i'm mainly a gunner bu thanks for the tip about the blitz. I might try it out soon.

Looks fun.

Looks fun.

I assume the acheron's asi vh is something you already have, since it would otherwise be redundant paired with the SSB. You allude to the fact that it's not an option, you just don't directly say why.

The valiance fine. If you're soloing, it can take out most things in a few shots. It's only when you are in parties of 4 do you start to think you want something more specialized in terms of damage. Personally, I haven't played around with a ctr max valiance (mine's asi), but it does seem fun. But I don't feel its charge will be very practical (unlike the storm driver's max ctr + vh dmg)

Yes I have the asi vh acheron already. Got lucky on that one.
However I now think I should have mentioned that I only play solo or with just one more person.
As for the ctr maximum on valiance it's mainly to play around with helpless zombies or the like. It also pushes lumbers far away.
I do like it also to push monsters away from friends who sometimes can't do it themselves as they are most of the time also gunslingers.

Well, if you want to make

Well, if you want to make full use out of that Chaos, you'll want something to charge spam (also desirable bombs). Acheron, and really all Brandishes, will serve you better with CTR than ASI. Although, I understand why you'd want to keep your UV, and it is rather nice.
What I use on my all-rounder, charge-spammy Chaos is something like:
Blitz (CTR Med) or BTB
Voltedge (CTR Med)
Dark Retribution, Umbra, or GF
and either a support bomb, Supernova, Valiance, or a fun weapon to mess around with.
Penta
Elite Trueshot or Slash

If you want to use CTR on Valiance just for the knockback, you'd be much better off with Supernova. Much more efficient knockback, and if you do small parties, you'll have no worries getting the most out of it. Once upon a time, when I was a pure gunslinger, I disliked Blitz too because I felt it "wasn't a gunslinger's gun". But when I had the spare funds to try it out, I fell in love with just the sheer amount of damage it could dish out. With the damage bonuses and CTR you'll have on it, it'll be really hard to resist the amount of brute power you'll hold in your hands. It's also really quite simple to learn.

Well it seems like I will have to give my blitz another try. However I don't see much diffrence between your loadout and mine exept that you use an elemental brandish and a shadowtech alchemer and I use an elemental alchemer and a shadow brandish.

So overall try to exchange valiance with my ctr low blitz and think about using my ctr low voltedge in exchange for my acheron? Then I wouldn't have a shadow weapon thoug

Just mess around and see what

Just mess around and see what feels good. If you use Blitz, it will pretty much fufill the role of BTB in all cases but fiends, but if you're fighting fiends, you don't want a shadow weapon. Keep a wide arsenal and pick what's right for the situation. What's nice about Chaos is that it's so well rounded that you really don't need to invest in many other situational armors.

I was actually hoping to thin

I was actually hoping to thin out my arsenal by creating this setup :D
I'm annoyed by having so many weapons and armours I never use that I intended to sell them once I found a good alrounder loadout. I don't care about FSC anymore as I've grinded it too many times to count as anyone who has been around For 1650 hours in-game.

Atleast it seems like I didn't do a bad job on this set of equipment as the feedback was positive and only minor changes were mentioned which I can try iut without problems.
So thank you all who replyed to my question I will try out all your suggestions.

May I suggest a vortex in

May I suggest a vortex in that loadout? When the chaos changes were named, my first thought was that the universal ctr would be great for solo vortex brandishes. Or divine avenger, for that matter.
