Since Chromalisk are so weak...

What is the weakest, laughable monster in SK? It's the chromalisk. So here are some new monsters that mights give them a bit more bite.
CHROMALISK FAMILY
All these monsters should have elemental variants.
All monsters will uncamoulage and telegraph their attack before attacking.
All chromalisk monsters can camouflage until it attacks or it is attacked. They wll try to recamouflage as soon as possible..

Scaled ram - a small hammerheaded chromalisk wth a shielded head and vulnerable backside. It rotates its shielded head torwards the nearest knight, and periodically charges at the knights like a trojan. The charge causes damage if it hits (3 hits, like a alpha wolver) and it will stun itself if it hits something.

Catalisk - a chromalisk with a lightly longer tail. From time to time, it grows an elemental orb and flings it at knights like a long range version of a chromalisk's basic attack. Except it the orb is a bomb that explodes after a while. They can also fire a fast moving elemental orb from their mouths (looks and moves like one of the orbs used to light candlesticks). They like to keep their distance, but luckily, they aren't very fast.

Chromlista - a frog. It hops around much faster than most chromalisks, and they have the ability to ddge very quickly like a devillite. They prefer to keep their distance and reel in knights with a fast and VERY long tongue and gnaw like a zombie. The tongue is harmless, so it is advised to let them grab you, and whack them before their bite. On the other hand, they do like to pull you into hazards and into crowds.

Wreckard - a slow, armored turtle a large spiked elemental tail. From time to time, it will smash its tail down like a lumber. Unlike the lumber, its tail does not have to attack in the direction that the body is facing. It can also emit an odd squeak (bomb like attack) which does no damage but stuns knights

Synapsid - a very rare, smooth, black catlike creature with oversized paws wearing blue armor. It is slow and tends to stay back like catalisks, but also have the ability to dodge. Their health is also rather large for their size. When it appeares, all chromalisks will release a small freezing mist like ice cubes whenever they are hurt (ability cold blood). From time to time, it hisses, increasing all beast movement and attack speeds.
When synapsid is hit, it will fire a stream of blue flames in a random direction, which then curves towards knights like the T3 flamethrower gunpuppies. The stream causes light shadow damage and will freeze knights.
Lastly, when the synapsid is defeated, its image will flicker and vanish like a hologram being turned off, leading to the rumors about the real Arcane Salamanders.

Drake/Wyvern/Dragon Wings - Flying chromalisks which move like greavers. They carry, camouflage and drop monsters and knights randomly, usually on other knights. If the dropped monster hits the knight, it will cause damage depending on the health of the monster dropped. It also uses the monster that they are carrying as a shield (the carried monster takes the damage). They can also sometimes take a monster off the screen and bring back a random monster.
They also sometimes land and do a zombie breath attack.

Wolvers have been pretty weak too, especially after the nerf. Here are two monsters based off of Snarbolax.
OTHER BEASTS

Tremortoda - A furry worm with a spiked tail, which digs underground leaving a trail of temporary spikes. It digs in a straight line, and pops its head up from time to time to look around and change directions. It then starts digging again, leaving its body vulnerable until it finishes pulling its entire body and its tail underground. The longer you leave it alone, the longer it gets. It is advised to deal the final blow on the head or tail; otherwise, it will split into two smaller worms.

Brambloid - A walking poison bush with a vulnerable snout sticking out of one end. It shoots thorns in random directions.
It can also teleport like a wolver; and will cause piercing damage if you walk into one.

Scuttlebots are sad now.

No sympathy for scuttlebots

Scuttlebots are similar to chromalisks, but look at the Construct Family:
Battlepod series
Gun Puppy series
Lumber series
Mecha Knight series
Retrode series
Scuttlebot series
Roarmulus Twins

Now look at the beast family:
Chromalisk series
Wolver series
Alpha Wolver series
Snarbolax

Now look at construct. Now look back at the beast. Now the back at the constructs. Now look at the beasts.

OOO has spent way too much time on Constructs and Undead. They need to work more on slimes and beasts.
And maybe fiends as well, but they already hurt so much...

oh. right. i completely forgot about drones.

As an arcane salamander I am

As an arcane salamander I am deeply hurt by your comments. Chromalisks eat jelly cubes, don't ya know? It's ironic though, they deal effective damage to us and we deal weak damage to them.

But yhea, it would be nice to have more beasts. Something tortodome related. The ram is a good idea, but I don't think it needs to look like a chroma. Chromlista sounds interesting but easy to kill. I'd remove the teleporting but make it very adept at close range, so it's like a reverse engineered wolver. Instead of it coming to you, it makes you come to it. This would be deadly mixed with status chromas, as it could pull you through all the status pools like a chip through salsa.

Wow. Very nice idea. Havent

Wow. Very nice idea. Havent seen many ideas on how to buff the chromalisk series of monsters, and these are some very cool ideas and sound like alot of fun to fight! And while we are on the subject of chromalisks.....they should make a new rare monster that is a chromalisk with little wings....just a thought.

Overall,+1.

@Orangeo:How many

@Orangeo:
How many chromalisks does it take to kill a jelly? 0_0

1. Ram: The point of making the ram look like a chroma with an oversized head is that it is small. In other words, it comes in crowds. To compensate for that, they stun themselves and have relatively low health.

2. Chromlista: Pulling players through hazards sounds good, but how would "adept at close range" work?
Note: I replaced teleport with dodging.
By making them gnaw on knights like a zombie, it leaves players defenseless to the hazards around it. The teleport/dodging is not triggered by swords, like with wolvers; it is mostly a way for the chromlista to escape after attacking the knight. Also, chromlistas are much faster than chromalisks but slower than knights, but because of its random camouflaged jumping, chasing down oneis not impossible but difficult.
I was actually thinkng of a reverse Kat.

In other words, its attack works like this: Uncloak, prepare for attack, and attack: shoot tongue, pull the knight in and gnaw. After the attack, it will quickly dodge away. Players will either block and not be pulled in, or attack while being pulled in.

3. Tortodome: I've never fought the tortodrome before, so you will have to help me on that.

@Magnith - i will try to thnk up of one... but it's hard without turning it into the generic dragon

Actually, regular wolvers are

Actually, regular wolvers are the weakest beast. All they have is a slow, non targeted bite. And the teleport, which actually puts them closer to you if they were far. Chroma spit is a real area denial attack. The slow speed makes it easy to dodge, but thus lasts longer on the battlefield. They also dodge, sidestepping at randomest times.

Battlepods are not

Battlepods are not Constructs, they don't have a family.

@Hmmnm: perhaps give it

@Hmmnm: perhaps give it feathered wings to take away from the dragon aspect,or perhaps just make an actual arcane salamander to be a new rare monster.either way.....But as for the rest of your ideas, they sound pretty solid and unlike anything we have currently.

Well, what I once thought

Well, what I once thought was, "wait, there is armor called 'drake', 'wyvern', and 'dragon' yet no monster is themed like a drake, wyvern, or dragon."

A chromalisk is a lizard not a dragon. Nothing about a chromalisk screams "DRAGON!" even though they drop "Dragon" scales.

So what I thought was make a new monster:

Tier 1 version: "Drake Chromalisk"

Tier 2 version: "Wyvern Chromalisk"

Tier 3 version: "Dragon Chromalisk"

Dragon chromalisks look exactly like normal chromalisks, but they now possess wings + flight, as well as fire breath attacks and are a bit bigger in size with more health. I imagine that they would fly around and move at a speed much faster than the regular chromalisk walks.

They will use the tongue attack like normal chromalisks by landing for a second, shooting out their tongue like normal chromalisks, then flying again all in the same time that a normal chromalisk would execute their tongue attack. This deals piercing like normal chromalisks' tongue attack.

They will then use a fire breath attack that works like a Gremlin Scorcher's fire trail attack. The breath will track you, and deal elemental damage with a chance to cause fire when hit. Their breath attack is executed similarly to a tongue attack: they will land for a moment, execute the attack, then fly again.

this way, there are deadlier chromalisks that gain ranged attacks and move faster + have more health.

Actually...

@Magnith - Added some winged monster deas... they're still work in progress though.
You will probably like the arcane salamander idea though.

@Rawrcake - ...I kinda wanted to stay away from making a generic dragon. But I was looking for ideas about a flying monster, so thanks.

i like

your monster ideas are nice, but the Drake/Wyvern/Dragon Wings ability to drop monsters seems a bit sketchy. i dont want a monster that might inflict damage to another monster. thats almost basically like the trojan smash attack that hurts monsters that it hits or the quicksilvers charge.
