You mean the Skolver set + Toothpick + Gran Faust clone loadout?
[EDIT]: Actually you know what, nevermind. It was a guy named Hican. Hican was the first to use that loadout.

Poul was the first person to use this set effectively. He was scoring 20k+ back in September when it was very uncommon to see more than 15k. Sadly, his Lockdown days are pretty much over.

Nobody "made" it. It's not that hard to guess.
Here, look at my planned pvp loadout I made months before LD existed:
-Skolver Coat
-Skolver Cap
-Barbarous Thorn Shield
-Final Flourish
-Gran Faust
-Sentenza
-Voltaic Tempest
Obviously the shield is irrelevant, VT is more or less useless as striker (except on the early test server, heh), and Polaris is usually favored over Sentenza. Still, I was pretty close on just an educated guess on what would be the best for an offense-based loadout.
So yeah, there are probably dozens of people who had the loadout ready months in advance. It became popular because it proved far more effective than other common ideas, such as the ancient plate tanks which were abundant on the test server but slowly died out.

My problem with the striker
My problem with the striker is that it's got the largest tradeoff. You can completely avoid the bomb penalty and reap benefits for only swords, but with something like guardian your bonuses are too well rounded to get an edge. I'm not saying striker can do everything, but in it's own field it's easily the strongest class.
Also, I killed a few people with a BAB on the test server. The damage on that bomb is actually kinda low, but the knockback is ridiculous.
Like the armor that Echo the NPC wears?
