All because of stupid bugs... ._. This game is gotten so much buggier since I started playing it, and now I'm permanently unable to access Spiral Knights due to a java bug I can't seem to fix on my own. Well guess I'll think twice before dumping 100 plus dollars into a game... >.>
Currently Permanently retired from SK.
What exactly is the problem in question? After updating Java the other day, I had to manually change the target of the ol' SK button to ...\Java\jre7\bin\javaw.exe. The shortcut didn't update to reflect the absence of the JRE6 binary. :T
If you haven't, might want to check the Java directory to make sure javaw.exe is still in there.
^lol zade
what still don't work for ye?
I'm sure there's still a way. 0.0
Have you uninstalled and reinstalled both java and SK?
Is this a common bug? Haven't heard of this so far. You sure it's SK's fault?
This fool has not played SDGO before. You do not know bugs, this game is virtually bugless by my standards. There's a bug before matches in SDGO where one person isn't allowed to load in that game, and has to Alt F4 and come back. Happens like 25% of the time. So hard to start a mach. OGP doesn't fix bugs in the games they sell, they get the patches imported from softmax in korea. Without bugfixes. They buy patches with bugs. Updated each month.
I'd like to help you, but the fact that you aren't elaborating on the bug makes me suspicious. Someone tried to alter their crown count in the directory, perhaps? That worked in the beta according to a few people. Certainly not anymore.
Okay so I had the blackscreen bug, which dc'd me everytime I tried to join someone. So I uninstalled SK, updated java and graphics driver, then reinstalled SK. Now I have a Java Virtual Machine could not be created error. I've tried everything, including Uninstalling and reinstalling steam.
If you haven't already, try this: in your Steam Library, right click Spiral Knights and select 'Properties'. Then go to the 'Local Files' tab, and select 'Verify Integrity of Game Cache'.
If that doesn't work, I would uninstall both Java and Spiral Knights, and then try installing Spiral Knights alone -- without installing Java.
whoa whoa whoa. If you say permanently retired, that would mean you are NEVER coming back whatsoever. But what if your bug was fixed? would you still come back then? That would mean you are temporarily retired. ¬_¬
