Due to boredom, I thought I would create this SK related topic.

Browsing the SK forum and found myself in the rumor mill discussion. Saw something about e-relationships so I'm like hell, lets make a topic about it. I've seen many e-relationships as an MMO gamer before. You have those Maple Story weddings, and they are even selling a TF2 ring on steam where you can propose to each other. Kinda awkward considering all the TF2 characters are boy gender mercenaries.

Anywho point of this topic:

- talk about your thoughts on MMO relationships
- have a SK relationship right now? why not talk about it
- should SK condone relationships?
- it does happen, and should it happen?

My sister plays Freerealms

My sister plays Freerealms (crappy game, I know).

In that game a certain area was invaded by "daters". They, well....name says it all.

That's how video game relationships are. Spam.

I'm waiting for my princess

I'm waiting for my princess in a beautiful dress to sweep me off my feet. Her carrying me with her nice strong arms & muscular body, caressing my soft body & feeling on my hairless chest as I look up to her and then figure out what in the world am I thinking about!?!

Whether people are in a

Whether people are in a relationship is no one's business but their own.. though those people that go around Havan throwing it around are rather annoying.

I find it pretty funny when

I find it pretty funny when people do shouts like "looking for a boyfriend to do missions with!" and stuff like that. Asking random people if they'll be their girlfriend/boyfriend. It's kinda cute in a daft way.

On a less silly note, I've met some really amazing people through SK. Wouldn't base a relationship purely on online interactions, though. :V

My 2 cents

talk about your thoughts on MMO relationships
Been there done that. Works for some people (I know couples who ended up living with each other), doesn't work with most people AFAIK (mostly due to geographical separation).

have a SK relationship right now? why not talk about it
Nope. Gaming in general isn't a very good medium for relationship development.

should SK condone relationships?
Unless you want Nick to sacrifice his time on making SK better, and uses his time to spy on any potential SK couples in haven (and ban them), I'm going to say "no" to this.

it does happen, and should it happen?
If it happens, do a reality check first. Remote relationship over a game is going to be risky to both sides. Do you want to take the risk of spending all the time and end up with nothing but a broken heart? If the two of you happen to be in close geographical proximity (e.g. live in same city), it should work.

The few people I know on this game who are truly mature enough to pursue or have successfully pursued a serious relationship know not to do it through a video game.

I've also witnessed the constant cycle of the boys who are after a girl's body and said girls who repeatedly reject them because of that. In one case with my friends, who I will not name, she was offered 3Kce worth of gifts, but that didn't overshadow the fact that the propositioner from being a shallow creep. As for me, I already have one ex from two years ago, and I don't plan on racking up more.
