Hey all,

I'm a bit new to the game (just started a few days ago). Today my brother and I came across a sword known as the "Sealed Sword". I couldn't find much info on it on the Wiki, and the Wiki Checklist on here doesn't even list the sword.

The only thing I saw on the wiki was that the "Sealed Sword" is used to craft the sword called "Faust".

So, is the Sealed Sword rare? I noticed when I charge up and release an attack, it has a different colored animation every time. (Sometimes it leaves a red discharge, sometimes a green, other times a light blue... might be more, I can't remember). Does this mean it has varying effects?

And in general, when weapons level up, do they gain new powers/benefits?

Thanks all for the info!

Where exactly did you get it?

Well, I'm not one to accuse people of making forged accounts just to make up jokes and screw with people on the forums, buuuuttt... that item doesn't exist yet. At least, as far as I've heard, it's not supposed to. Where exactly did you get it? Was it a box drop? Monster drop? I'd like to see you wield it in a gate, please add me: Chronus.

I only list the (apparently) existent Equips on the Wiki Checklist, as it is (apparently) impossible to get those that are (apparently) nonexistent. Speaking of that I need to list up the missing sections...

As for your question, yes, as Equips level up they get stronger and may gain new abilities such as bonus damage to certain types of monsters and faster attacking speeds.

I'll let him share his glory.

Well, thanks to Cactuscat, I got to witness the first Sealed Sword in action. :D

I'll let him share his knowledge when he sees this, I wouldn't want to steal the spotlight.

Off to hunt for Faust/Avenger recipe and a Sealed Sword.

Edit: Nevermind he beat me to even saying that haha.

Antigua is the rare gun-equivalent of the Sealed Sword, used to make the Shadow/Holy 4* guns.

Antigua is a rare handgun

Antigua is a rare handgun used to craft a Silversix and a Blackhawk.
The Antigua is just as rare as the Sealed Sword

I want an Antigua!

Dang, this will make my trips frustrating. Do I have to be in a certain depth to find the Sealed Sword or the Antigua? :o I'll run amok with my precious Vile Striker if I have to. <3

Surprisingly, we found it in

Surprisingly, we found it in a Treasure Cove between Haven and Moorcroft. We had no idea it was anything special until I equipped it and saw how dang awesome it looks. ^.^

Thanks again to Chronus for filling me in on it. I'm going to level it up tonight, and going to try and see if the various charge effects it has are just for show, or if they actually have a different effect when released.

I'll buy a Chroma Suit if you have extras...

Haha. I'll buy a Chroma Suit if you have extras, I already have the Helm. :o

I'm going to wait until later tonight, then start going insane trying to find 2 Sealed Swords and 2 Antiguas... In order to (ultimately) be able to alchemize both the Holy and Shadow Sword, as well as both the Holy and Shadow gun - plus some other equips (5* isn't out yet though, I don't think?). Then, only then, will I be... complete.

Faust

So I just turned my Sealed Sword into the Faust.

Practically the same as the Avenger (same charge effect), except purple/pink. However, the charge attack often curses (quite often), and the curse is dreadful. Lasts like 35 - 40 seconds, and any attack during that time deals damage. I really need to find Shadow/Curse resist armor.

As for damage, well I haven't tested it yet, and I don't actually know what a "good damage range" would be, because this is my first 4 star weapon. Any numbers that I should be looking for?

Anything near or above 200 when you are fighting 19+ should be good.

Yeah... then I think this

Yeah... then I think this weapon is suffering the same horrible damage as the Avenger. Granted, it is only level 1 (or 2), but for a decent/fastish attack speed, it was only hitting 49 - 55 damage on stone wolvers at depth 19. I'll have to keep leveling it, but I can't see it rising up to 200 damage just from being level 10, or am I mistaken?

Plus, because of the curse, I can't afford to use the charge effect (which only dealt 88 damage to the enemies it hit). 40 seconds of being unable to attack does not outweight the damage it deals (until I finally get some shadow/curse resist).

EDIT: I shouldn't say "slow" attack speed. It has a fairly decent attack speed, according to the stats... HOWEVER, it feels as slow as the Sealed Sword, and doing its 2-hit leaves you entirely vulnerable to almost all attacks. I'll keep on leveling it...

Hmmm, winmillion does about 45ish on lv1..... guess faust isn't that much better off than a spur class.

I hope that changes,

I hope that changes, considering Faust already is useless without some form of Curse resistance.

I won't lie though, it sure looks awesome (I think I'm as pink as you can be in this game right now). And the charge effect is dang cool.

Just... for a 4* weapon that took a very rare sword (that was quite good too!), and some high cost materials, it isn't as powerful as one would have hoped.

On a related note: I've seen a lot of discussion about the sealed sword, but none at all on the antigua (which nick claims is also findable). Has anyone found one yet?
