Hey all,

Thank you for your tips and your sword guide helped me too. It is a funny combination of a slow and fast sword, but is it good? I`m thinking about what to choose, when I red your sword guide I`m thinking about to use an elementar gun. Can you suggest me something good?
When I would have Dread Venom Striker, here is what I would use it for:
- destroying turrets
- inflicting monsters with poison, than I can use my other sword
- dodging
- cutting diamonds
For what are guns all good? Why in your sword guide and in your comment you say it`s good to have 2 elementar swords? Arent non-elementar swords stronger? I could use a bomb, but I lagg too much when someone use bombs, more than one.
You definitely do not want two elemental swords (except maybe in Graveyards and other special situations). You want two non-normal swords. That is, you want one of these three combinations:
* piercing sword (for beasts, fiends, gremlins), elemental sword (for undead, constructs, slimes)
* elemental sword (for undead, constructs, fiends), shadow sword (for slimes, gremlins, beasts)
* shadow sword (for slimes, gremlins, constructs), piercing sword (for beasts, fiends, undead)
If you study how damage works in this game, you'll understand that any of those three combinations lets you inflict huge damage against 4/6 of monsters, and moderate damage against the other 2/6; you're never inflicting small damage.
I don't know whether you're a native English speaker. If not, you might be confusing the words "elementary" and "elemental", which in this context have very different meanings. Non-elemental swords are definitely not stronger than elemental swords.
I`m learning english, so I make and mistakes. I thinked non-normal sword means elemental, I forgot that piercing and shadow are not elements.
I needed some time to upgrade my sword to Khorovod. Now just to drop it? Elemental sword can`t be stronger than normal swords, normal swords always do more damage I think. Isn`t it so? What you think about that I use an shadow sword, like Brandish upgraded to shadow, and my Khorovod, normal sword? Khorovod and Autogun, upgraded to piercing? Khorovod and Brandish, upgraded to ice or shock or maybe Dread Venom Striker? Is piercing more useful than shadow and elemental, or what is the most useful to combine with normal damage? Say me what combination to use.

A specialized damage and a normal sword works better than 2 normal swords, but not as effective as 2 specialized damage swords.
What combination you want is always up to you. The general advice given is a piercing sword and a elemental gun. Piercing sword because most enemies weak to piercing dodges shots, so a piercing sword is more effective in killing them. An elemental gun because 2 of the 3 turret type enemies are weak to elemental, whereas the third is neutral. So you can gun turrets from a distance without having to walk close, risking damage.
For the record, your English is actually quite good. It's certainly much better than my second language.:)
I needed some time to upgrade my sword to Khorovod. Now just to drop it?
Basically, yes. I know that it took you some time to get to 4-star, but the cost of upgrading from 4-star to 5-star is really high. In fact, the cost is bigger than the entire cost that you've paid so far. So don't upgrade to 5-star unless you really want that 5-star item. Don't throw good money after bad, as they say.
If you really want to keep your Khorovod, then I would suggest getting a piercing sword, because it is much better for dealing with fiends, which are the nastiest monsters. Or I would get an elemental gun such as Nova Driver or Storm Driver (or Argent Peacemaker, Polaris, Magma Driver, or Hail Driver).
Elemental sword can`t be stronger than normal swords, normal swords always do more damage I think. Isn`t it so?
Absolutely not. If that were true, then there would be no purpose for non-normal swords; everyone would just use normal swords all the time.
For example, your Sudaruska/Khorovod does 270 damage per second (DPS) to all monsters. If you had a Combuster and a Final Flourish (my personal favorite combination), then you could do 546 DPS against beasts, fiends, constructs, and undead, and 396 DPS against slimes and gremlins. (These numbers come from the Lancer Knightz data. They are only one way to measure damage. In other ways of measuring damage, Sudaruska may come out a bit better, but it is still quite outclassed by any combination of two non-normal swords.)
Notice that I have mentioned only 5-star items. When planning your equipment, you should pick which 5-star items you want, and then look back in their alchemy paths, to figure out which 2- and 3-star items get you there.
"For the record, your English is actually quite good. It's certainly much better than my second language.:)"
Thank you.
"What combination you want is always up to you. The general advice given is a piercing sword and a elemental gun."
What is about a piercing gun and a elemental sword.
I needed some time to upgrade my sword to Khorovod. Now just to drop it?
"Basically, yes."
I will do it. I could unbound it and then sell. What you think about?
I want to use a gun and a sword. I thinked about a combination of piersing and an elemental or non-normal sword.
Shadow is good with piercing so I thinked about Acheron(shadow and normal) and Blitz Needle(piercing). Let me hear your oppinion.
Piercing-gun-with-elemental-sword isn't a bad idea. If that's what you want, then get it. But I might as well explain why a piercing gun with an elemental sword is a better idea:
Swords can have trouble approaching turrets, so it's nice to have an anti-turret gun. All turrets are either vulnerable (gun puppies, howlitzers) or neutral (polyps) to elemental damage. Therefore an elemental gun is the single best kind of gun to use against turrets. In contrast, all turrets are either resistant (gun puppies, polyps) or neutral (howlitzers) to piercing damage. A piercing gun is the single worst kind of gun to use against turrets.
Piercing swords are perhaps the most overpowered weapons in the game. I can't recommend them strongly enough. They will really improve your performance against fiends, which are the nastiest monster family.
Blitz Needle was good for cutting diamonds, boxes and it has a good damage, but anyway, what piercing sword and elemental gun you would suggest me?
With no availability problems?
Either one of Final Flourish or Barbarous Thorn Blade. They do the most damage out of the 4 piercing swords.
For an elemental gun, it's a bit more up to taste, but I've always recommended Polaris and Argent Peacemaker as the guns of choice.
As Yukarie said, and as my sword guide says, Final Flourish and Barbarous Thorn Blade seem better than the other two piercing swords. In elemental guns, you have six options:
I don't like Hail Driver much, because it unfreezes itself often. But it does have some fans.
Magma Driver, Storm Driver, and Polaris are a little dangerous in your setup, because you have to use them against oilers and quicksilvers, which they set off.
The safest choices are probably Nova Driver and Argent Peacemaker.
Don`t know what`s so special on Nova Driver that you suggest it.
My choise is Final Flourish and Nova Driver. I would choose Barbarous Thorn Blade, but I don`t have enough crowns now for Snarble Barb. Is it better than Flourish? Maybe Means I will drop Khorovod, Autogun, Cutter and Tempered Calibur.
Thank you both for the tips and tricks, it changed my mind and weapons.
Edit: I tested the weapons and must say I needed to switch weapons in fight to do more damage. Flourish can be easy controlled, it`s fast, strong, isn`t really good at cutting diamonds, but that`s ok. Prismatech Alchemer is good for destroying turrets, the special is that it can twice bullets, but for it`s 2 shoot clips the bullets could be faster, hope the upgraded version has faster bullets. Anyway this is a good combination and I recommend it.
In my opinion, you have more important things to worry about than how fast you cut minerals (diamonds) --- like greavers and devilites.
Yes, you must switch weapons quickly, to use the ideal weapon on the ideal monster. I often switch weapons every few seconds. You'll get used to it.
Final Flourish and Barbarous Thorn Blade are equally good, as I explain in my sword guide.
I recommended Nova Driver or Argent Peacemaker because they are safe to use on oilers and quicksilvers. You can't really use your piercing sword on them, you see, because they resist it so strongly.
Don't sell your old weapons. You may decide to use them again someday.
Have fun and good luck.
Will need to improve my switching, anyway it`s a good combination and will do more damage than normal swords. I`m not sure will I sell my weapons, but think I will. Thank you guys for help.
"Have fun and good luck."
Good luck.
You want two swords? Once you have two swords, there is no point in having either of them be normal. Get two non-normal damage types, so that you can inflict huge damage on 4/6 of monsters, and moderate damage to the other 2/6. See my sword guide for more information.
Now that I have my real advice out of the way, I'll say: The really slow swords (like Khorovod) and the really fast swords (like Cutter) are the most fun. So go ahead and play with those two. Or get a gun, particularly elemental, to handle turrets. Or get a vortex bomb; people love smashing Khorovod into vortices.
