Ok so last week I was selling steam games in the Bazaar. This was my first time setting up a steam shop for spiral knights transactions. At first I had 5 customers doing a rate of 550 CE per $1 USD. And another thing to note was that these steam games were up for SALE. Perhaps I should have waited on when the steam games were no longer on sale after i bought them. I consider my first few customers lucky to be getting these steam games when I'm doing the work in purchasing the games for them.

Most of my customers kept saying, "well its only $3 (or whatever price it is) NOW" and that's the thing. It is only $3 NOW. If I wait until the sale is over you would not be so lucky in getting that game. So far in the Bazaar I have only seen people BUYING steam games, and not SELLING them. It seems like there is such a high demand on steam games.

Do you know of anyone else who are SELLING steam games rather than BUYING? Because the only ones that I see in the Bazaar is WTB steam games, not WTS steam games.

So tell me your thoughts on the steam games that are being traded with the summer sale that is going on.

Do you think that my customers were lucking receiving 550 CE per $1 USD with the steam games I sold?

Lately I've been getting so much hassle from interested customers, and I don't think they appreciate that someone is actually willing to buy steam games in the steam store for them. I've finished my character customization quite a while ago. It's just annoying to me how interested buyers come to me wanting steam games and get all disappointed when I've closed shop.

Well, I do think your

Well, I do think your customers were lucky at 550 CE/dollar at the present time due to the huge influx of CE lowering the CE to crown rate, but it's rather natural that people would be wanting to buy games when they are cheap. As in, they wouldn't buy it if it wasn't on sale, at all. I was also selling Steam games, but only to people posting that they wanted to buy, and well, at the right price.

There are less sellers of

There are less sellers of specific Steam games because there are less requirements. The people who make threads selling games are doing so because they already had an extra copy/got it as an unwanted gift. I'd assume the people selling games to people in the WTB just have the extra money to make ce through people willing to overpay a bit for full games.

It seems like it's hard to get Steam games currently for much less than 700ce:$1. So yeah, your early customers snagged quite a deal.

If I wait until the sale is over you would not be so lucky in getting that game.

Mm, I can understand where you're coming from but the reverse can also hold true. If you purchase a game during the sale and then wait for afterwards in order to sell it for higher, you'd run into a few problems. Like you couldn't buy to order as you'd only have specific games to sell and people may be more reluctant to go for it, making it a hard sale.

Don't get me wrong though. I fully appreciate that people are being generous with this. Sure, sellers do it because of the potential of higher ce over $1, but that doesn't mean said sellers have to agree to any price just because the rate of exchange is higher than what OOO offers direct. Buyers have to acknowledge and appreciate that sellers can choose not to sell at X price for whatever reason the same way sellers accept that demand for Steam games is at its peak during these sales and that potential CE sources like this will dwindle once games go back up to regular price.

Having someone act like not selling at 550ce:$1 rate is some great injustice that must be publicly fought instead of simply accepting and trying to find a better deal elsewhere is indeed silly. When I purchased a couple of Steam games off another player in exchange for CE, I did it for higher than that because, seeing all the buy offers around, I flat out knew I would be extremely lucky to get a deal for the old 550:1 price.
