not sure what your forum topic is trying to ask.
but to invite someone to play SK for the first time through steam, they do not have to be online. are you looking at the invite tab (third tab on the pop up when you first login SK game) just enter the email or steam ID
but if you want them to play with you in the party, they have to be online.
as this is a game invite, you do not have to mail or send anything except by filling in that steam or email invite
