There is no "best {weapon} user" because everyone plays differently.

Self proclaimed "best" weapon specialists either use easy weapons which can be spammed with little skill for immediate damage or use more complex weapons in very situational utility. For example, anyone with VDemo/Mad and a H10 Nitronome can say they are the best bomber; however, a shard user had to learn how to take advantage of the multi-impact effect until Three Rings drops its pants and drops a load on our heads. Suction lines are also fairly difficult to use well. Swords are the easiest of the three current weapon types to figure out in weapon mechanics, tactics, and is the most commonly used weapon type.

Last rant, I promise. I am not crossing my fingers behind my back. Though there are three distinct weapon types and players tend to focus their attention on only one, there are players who are versatile in all weapon types and have a substantial variety in their arsenal. By substantial variety I mean at least one of every mechanic of each weapon type of substantial star rank (4*+), not one or two weapons from each with whatever ranks.
