Well, I finally managed to put this thing together last night. Only today did I finally get around to swinging it at something.
It was... underwhelming. Two-striker, slightly faster than the Khorovod. Damage isn't even in the same league, though. Charge attack is worthless.
Anyone else having greater success with this thing? It's not max level, so maybe I just need to stick with it?
Or (more likely) should I have simply held out for the Faust?
Either way, after collecting an extremely rare item and going through the bother of leveling it to completion, not to mention spending the top-tier energy crafting costs, I have to say I'm disappointed. Hope this thing sees some scaling up in the future.

I think Avenger has bonus to undead right? Or was it fiend. Well, I'd say get it to level 10 before you give up on it. If I remember right gremlins are weak to elemental damage and avenger does normal and elemental damage.

All weapons that have
All weapons that have pre-made ultra modify dmg bonus again XXX are mid-core or below average..... won't be surprised if avenger follow suit.

It's now level nine and still absolutely embarrassing to hit monsters with; even devilites who take the extra damage from the built-in ultra bonus.
I get the feeling that this weapon wasn't subject to the equipment rebalancing.

Nope, it's been down graded like everything else and it's below average because it has a ultra dmg boost.
Don't think they did much work or tested those dmg boost functions.

He means weapons that do two types of damage simultaneously. The Avenger, for instance, deals both Normal and Elemental damage with each successful hit.

There's a couple of weapons like that.

Faust would have been way better because of shadow damage except for the charge up side effect.
