Someone put up a video doing the last wave solo without using a weapon that can 1-2 shot those Deadnaughts because I swear trying to do this is the most frustrating thing in the game.
Legion of Almire last wave
If you're soloing without something to 1-2 shot the deadnaughts, you're probably gonna want a max ctr shiver and alternate spamming that (primarily to hold the silks and almirians) and attacking the deadnaughts. The combo of silks and almirians do not give you time to whittle the deadnaughts down at a reasonable rate.
The above is based on how I play and won't necessarily hold true for everyone. :V
what idiot would solo hell? that places takes like 20min(10mins to do the rest of level)
An idiot who knows what (s)he's doing. Lots of people do it solo, because its more convenient for them and they're experienced with what's to come.
I hate to say it, but Shivermist Buster and Blitz Needle are killer weapons here, just like against Vanaduke. Circle the room, as you would in an arena, dropping freeze bombs. Eventually, you will circle back to monsters that are frozen (you may have to cut through the middle). Deliver a Blitz Needle charge.
I've also had success circling around the room charging a Brandish. Just be careful not to focus on the Almirian crusaders. The two big Slag Guards are the monsters you need to kill.
Soloing means enemies have a lot less health. You can take them down before healers can get to them, and you can also kill the healers quickly.
My damage weapon of choice is the hammer. When you're soloing, you usually can't get all the enemies placed/frozen so they can't attack you when you blitz charge. If you can, then you most likely didn't need the charge damage in the first place. When you're solo, 2 swing-dash-cancels should kill any large monster. you can also kill howlitzers with 1 swing-dash. (I use damage bonus vh against undead.)
Brandish charges can hurt shielded enemies from the front.
When dealing with those flourish charge users, note that they can immediately hurt someone as soon as they release, even before their sword has swung. Otherwise, if you're far enough, it's pretty easy to simply dodge sideways and have them whiff completely. Note that they cannot attack AT ALL when stunned, but keep stun away from lumbers.
Curse vials are worth saving - shoot a howlitzer until all of the silkwings are clustered around it, then toss one. If things get too crowded, I'll alternate between kiting the horde through Ash of Agni and taking potshots with Polaris, although I think Argent Peacemaker might be better if you want a gun specifically to deal with crusaders and aren't comfortable blitzing them solo.
Playing solo is easier than playing with 3 people that suck.
Voltedge, FoV, and Polaris (for the howlizters) is my LoA weapon choice.
Well just did it with someone else, was much easier with another person as everything in the room wasn't always chasing me.
Just came back into the game two weeks ago and as I'm trying to get rid of all the accumulated rust I've been going through the missions solo and avoiding the really overpowered weapons so I can learn how to play again. Case in point, I tried joining a public game yesterday where all three of the other people had Blitz Needle and not a single one of them knew how to handle the Almirian Crusaders outside a situation where they could instantly kill them from sleep.
I still maintain that last wave is absurdly difficult for solo play without using a weapon that effectively lets you cheese some of the monsters.
In an environment that likes to keep three silkwings spawned, I like spawning my venom veiler. Part of this fights transparent difficulty comes alot less from the mobs themselves however the real testing comes from CC and setting up worthwhile attacks that wont get out healed as you play the next mental game of chess finding an appropriate spot to deal and (try) to not take damage. A spamming of the veiler negates alot of negative factors in the scenario. Trollaris for howlizers Cheeze:/whizzed

I like to call it, DA Undead VH + damage bonus med
