I can't find an adjective suitable for the magnitude of my disappointment in you dropping the race after returning to it after the long break. Maybe if you'd called it off immediately after you healed up, but... Ugh.

Yeah, we're pretty disappointed about the race thing. The prizes weren't really a motivation at all. It's just that the race thing was sort of a different way to play, something different than just grinding out runs while you chat. It was interesting and we were looking forward to doing more of it. So yeah, disappointing.
As for the Olympics, it's an interesting idea and getting guilds involved will probably make things fun. If you can manage the organizational effort required for it, it's definitely a worthy idea and will be an interesting event. I just can't see it as a replacement for the racing since it's kind of a different thing entirely. That said, though, I'm certain we'd be interested in entering our guild; it sounds like it will be fun.

Yes, I understand that feeling that everything goes well and then boom, the competition disappears because of that. I have been in that situation before, I know how it feels.
Here's what I have to say: My competition format will still be there in the 4v4 Clockworks event. The only things that have changed are 4v4 instead of 2v2. And its a guild thing. Everything else will be the same. I know this may not replace that earlier competition, but there were like over half of the entries gone. At first it was 128 people (64 teams). Now it's like 8 teams.
Yeah the logistical problems with the long delay and just some other things with the race competition in general, it's not surprising and probably had to happen. It's not really your fault, but it's still meh. And yeah we'll probably be in the 4v4 race, but for some reason I just find the duo thing incredibly appealing in a way that any four person party isn't.
I will say, though, that you should stick to missions on the race, avoiding any clockworks floors like the plague. The variance in time between them is just too high (one run you might have to hunt down a key to the random gate blocking the elevator, the next you just cruise through no probs). It doesn't have to be boss missions, although I'm not sure how many non-boss missions don't start with a clockworks area. But clockworks luck is make or break on any two runs of similar skill (and doesn't even have to be that similar).
And for fashion, I don't know. There are a lot of questions involving subjective judgment and a lot of differences in opinion on what is good and what isn't. Apparently having a set is bad regardless of accessories, so you have to have off-items that match in color, but to some different shades of the same color are a faux pas while others think they work together, and some people implicitly hate all wolver gear, and etc etc etc. There are reasons for these things, and they're often good reasons, but still judges have all these personal taboos that aren't necessarily shared by other judges. I don't really know if it has much of a place amongst four other events with completely objective scoring. But I understand the drive to include non-skill-based categories, so if you feel it's an important part then it's sort of the only way to do it.
...I really must protest about your mascots so far.

I would personally like to participate, but given that my guild isn't all that active any more and that EoS may well be participating... my team would probably be like Sealand irl.

How can you finish the event when the majority of the competitors dropped out? ._. This was not something I wanted to do. This was something that had to happen. I feel so depressed for stopping my previous event and I wondered what I could do to those that persisted and stayed with me all along. It's not like I enjoyed toying with people. ._. Seriously.

And guys, don't hate on him for not being able to finish the CDC. I'm sure it would've been finished by now if not for the accident.. and the lack of cooperation from certain persons. It's not all his fault.

Except you posted this on July 21, according to the timestamp. So, it's almost the beginning of August already, and June has already passed. So, you probably want to move that time frame back a little, or be ready really soon XD

Pretty disappointed that you completely just killed everything. Firstly you started talking about reviving it, now you're just quitting on it. You can't just toy with people like that. My Partner and I were really thrilled to have made it as far as we did and then you just completely left us in the cold (and everyone else who joined the run.) Worrying about changing to another subject. You just don't do that. It's stupid and makes the host look stupid. It's just not right.
