As we all probably know, there are guides for gunslingers, shield bearers, swordmasters and bomb maesters (it sounds better than bombers but hey that's just a personal choice). Because of these guides, people specialize into one of these molds. Once people have specialized they will eventually try new things and due to a lack of guides on how to best approach hybridization, people will be detered from the trial and error process that currently is hybridization and miss out on a lot spiral knights has to offer.
In order to assuage the pain of starting into hybridization I suggest that there be hybridization guides for General Hybridization which will help players learn the basics of hybrid gear, and Specific Hybridization to take players to a more advanced level of game play after learning the basics of hybridization. I don't mind writing the guides myself if I have to.
Currently I have a thread discussing hybridization in the arsenal called Hybridization and You. http://forums.spiralknights.com/en/node/60313
I am the author of a sword guide that "competes" with the Swordmaster Guide. Unlike most wiki pages, which list objective facts such as the observed damage of a sword, these guides tend to be loaded with analysis and opinion. There is a lot of text that needs to be composed. So there is a potential for a lot of arguing over opinions and wording.
Also, it's possible that dealing with all issues of hybrids is too big a job for one wiki page. You may need to make a sword-gun guide, a gun-bomb guide, etc.
If this is a serious project for you, then I suggest that you write your own hybrid guide, in your own User:Bella-Donna space. People can still comment on its talk page, but you are unambiguously in control. You can always move it into the wiki main space later. You will be able to maintain only one or two pages, on the content that you know best. If you try to cover too much landscape, then your quality declines.
On the other hand, if you strongly value the collaborative nature of a wiki, or if you expect that others will contribute at least half of the content, then start your guide in the wiki main space.
Just some random thoughts for you to consider.
