I bet that many ppl says nor of them Final flourish or BTB is better, but I want to inflict effects to enemies with my toothpick :)
Flamberge:
Has a fair chance of inflicting moderate fire.
May be very useful for recons, and strikers that killed u and on last stand.
Rigadoon:
Has a slight chance of inflicting moderate stun.
Useful for all classes but has a very low chance.
Flamberge is more useful in T2, where the fire ticks can actually make a dent in your health. Rigadoon is good all around, although the low status infliction means you will rarely proc the stun every fight.

I always play T3 cuz no one plays t2 or t1
T1 is fairly uncommon. T2 does happen though, and not as rare as you put it.
T2 LD is as common as T3 is. I know, im the regular. Anyway, ive also played some T3 and, Flamberge is good for trolling low healthed people, but not many low healths around as they get pummeled fast. Trust me. In T3 damage is like arrgraaagraaarrrghh and in T2 you can actually survive sealed swords with trinkets. Rigadoon, is good allround. Flamberge is only good in T2 as fire is major there. Stun, is major in LD as its as fast as flourish, and when their stunned they cant dodge you. just combo your way into their face. Their Face. Naaaow. Stun allll the things! However, sometimes you may see a jelleh user running around (i use quicksilver that doesnt have stun resis :( But then again. WHY would you use piercing damage on jellehs. Oh well. There is plate, which is terrible but protects against normal damage, and ironmight does have piercing defense so that set might be worrrtthh--- toothpick against ironmight isnt good either. Oh well. strangely, everything with stun resis has pierce defense. Except volcanic plate, so just go pummel those volcanic users like a normal FF. bu8t less damage. Oh well, you might stun them anyway- about 1-3 seconds i think? I dunno.
tl;dr: Im a speed reader, so you better get back up there you lazy Devilite!
P.S Rigadoon is better.
If you can get a status in, stun will help more than fire.
Stun -> easy target for you/ others
Fire -> Very weak in LD, will only take off a couple bars, nothing big.
They both suck.
Flamberge is good for trolling recons, but ineffective elsewhere. People wear health trinkies far too often for the fire to be fatal, unless they have some major fire weakness. I haven't managed to set a Mad Bomber alight yet, and Valkyrie isn't exactly common, but I suspect the outcome would probably be the same.
Rigadoon has a lower chance of stun, but given how much of a difference the movement speed drop can make, I would say that this is the better choice. Unless you like trolling recons and/or you're just a pyro. So... pretty much like me.
