That's all it affects. I chose purple, because purple goes with everything except orange and green (who wears orange or green armour?) and it is also generally awesome.
As the previous comment says, Vatel sells items (at 50k crowns, ie too much) that let you change your height, personal colour, and eye shape.
there's no way to change its design or colour (as distinct from your personal colour) after creation. :(
You can recolor armor for CE or real money. It is very expensive. But many armor sets do not include personal color.
Has this guy even played the game?
Lasteron, please spend 20 minutes in game before attempting to answer questions, everything you just said is wrong.
You cannot change armor color, changing personal color cost 50k crowns, and every single armor uses your personal color in some way.

Personal color affects some parts of your armor and eyes. You can change later on, for some serious cash, 50,000 in Haven baazar.
Armor can not be recolored. Unless you can convice developers to create it for you.
After creating your knight the only way to change your personal color is through Vatel by buying a different color for 50kCr.
