Excuse me, but could someone direct me to where it states that OOO does not remove suspensions because of their Policy? I cannot find it, so simply I've never read anything officially stating it.
Policy?
And no, I'm not banned. I could log in right now to prove it.
"-As a policy, we do not remove suspensions and there is no need to contact us."
Their exact words.
With no source? What do you mean?
And I could care less whether you, your friend, or your guildy is banned.
Edit: Huh, I never knew that. I suppose they do take bans seriously, although that seems unfair if they were to get it wrong. Policy doesn't necessarily have to be written down. Like the whole OOO is unbinding accessories thing a few weeks back. It isn't written down, its just something they follow.
There is no where on this site, that I can find, where there is anything that supports the statement in which they gave me.
I merely had asked about bans because I found their page on it rather vague.
://Edit:
Even if it's not written down, they should at least have to notify the players if they're going to enforce it.
Not giving notice and yet giving the ability to appeal it is rather conflicting.
Technically, OOO can do whatever they want with your account. The official term for contacting support about a ban is "discussing" it. Really, you can play with words in the ToS and any other official statement they made and make something completely different. In the end, they can do whatever they want. Although they probably won't abuse their power to the point of losing customers.
They've already turned one of their games into a Ghost Town and the other has halved within the four years of its existence.
Not sure about Puzzle Pirates. Never cared for it.
The relevant pages seem to be these:

I cannot find any text matching this "policy" that you describe. In fact, the ability to appeal bans seems to contradict it. Maybe they mean that, once you have appealed a ban and lost your appeal, their policy is not to consider removing your ban any further.
It's worth noting that organizations often have lots of "policy" that is not laid out in any official document, but rather exists in the minds of the members, in what is called http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Institutional_knowledge. So the lack of an official statement of this policy does not mean that it doesn't exist.
I (and maybe the other responders here) am having trouble understanding your motivation for this thread.
Are you talking about removing bans, either temporary or permanent? If you mail their support, which is the way to ask for more information regarding your bans/warnings, they might give you a more detailed reason for banning. Or if it was an error on their part, they probably will take back the ban.
