Strange 5 star helmets

i really want to know what is going with these two helmets over here.

there suppose to be 5 star level helmets, so why is it they have so many weakness to the elements and to curse.

i really don't understand their purpose if they are not protecting the wearer from these kind of things. can anyone explain this to me?

okay so they

okay so they have a :

- Chaos Cowl:
- Damage Bonus: Low
- Charge Time Reduction: Low

- Mad bomber Mask:
- Bomb Charge Time Reduction: Medium
- Bomb Damage Bonus: Medium

is that suppose to make up for all of the weaknesses it has to all of the elements and curse. i just dont understand this.

Yes. They're both significantly offensively based helmets, made for people who either don't care about dying as long as the other person dies first, or someone who plays such that they don't get hit often.

Notice for the Mad Bomber Mask/Armor, that's 2 medium bonuses, so you can get damage VH and CTR Max (assuming a fully heated bomb) with both of those pieces. And the Chaos Cowl's bonus is a global damage/CTR bonus, meaning it's great for people who use a wide variety of weapons.

how am i suppose to take this down to the clock works. am i suppose to rely mostly on my weapons then the armor i bring?

These are statuses not

These are statuses not elements. Just saying.

In most games you usually can chose between offensive and defensive combat style. For example Lann and Fiona in Vindictus and so on.
Because there are no classes nor skills in SK you create your character with gear (which is good because you're not locked into one game style and don't have to create another character to experience different styles). With Chaos set or Mad Bomber you can play more offensively, relying on dodging rather then tanking.

Actually relying on tanking is bad idea with any gear - fortunately SK is a game about active defence so you mostly defend either by shielding or dodging. In both cases your armour/helm doesn't count much, hence helm/armour penalties to statuses aren't that terrible.

You should be relying on

You should be relying on weapons first, shields second, armor last, most of the time. Good play will make you hard to hit because you wouldn't have been in a position to be hit in the first place.

This thread is full of Troll. It's clear OP has either not played enough to understand the game, in which case all this will get sorted out the minute they are actual 5* players, or, they are just trolling. So, I won't bother defending the best bomber gear in the game. It stands for itself.
