Which does more damage? I'm assuming the Flourish line as it doesn't come with a debuff like the others but I'd like to be sure.

Flourish for pure

Flourish for pure damage.
Rigadoon has a SLIGHT chance for stun.
And stun isn't even that good.

In other words, Rigadoon sucks.

Yea but do they actually have

Yea but do they actually have separate damage tables? Just based on the wiki they're identical except for the stun. As far as free bonuses go, you could do worse. Stun lets you get more hits in at worst.

I'd say the little change in

I'd say the little change in damage is worth the stun chance. The stun helps a LOT with enemies like phantoms, who you don't want attacking.

Haven't you heard? Weapon bars are terrible for comparing damage potential (too bad it's the only thing we have to go by). Swift Flourish does much more damage than Rigadoon.

Do we have any numbers?

How much more damage does the swift flourish do when compared to the rigadoon? How about the 5* versions? For the purposes of these questions, lets take into account tier 2 fiends/beasts for the swift flourish vs rigadoon and tier 3 beasts/fiends for the 5* versions.

See topic title.

People are discussing the rigadoon and the flourish because that is the topic of the thread, as indicated by the title.

If you want the sword for

If you want the sword for piercing damage, then get the Final Flourish.

If you want a sword to deal Stun, get the Khorovod.

The Rigadoon's Stun just isn't worth losing damage over, when compared to other weapons that deal stun.
Hell, the Callahan would be a better choice than the Rigadoon, just because that way the stun actually becomes useful, since it stops monsters dodging and makes them move slower so you can hit them more.
The damage is probably the same too.

That's just how I see it.

Tested it

So I realize that this is from a while ago but I finally got around to testing it.
Oddly enough the Rigadoon did more damage than the Swift Flourish.
I'm now wondering if this is a glitch or not, and if the same is true for the Flamberge.

no, it shouldn't be. What level is your rigadoon? what level is your swift flourish?

see wiki?

Is there some reason to distrust the damage numbers on the wiki? If not, then go look at the damage numbers on the wiki. Final Flourish does about 15%-20% more damage than Fearless Rigadoon. There are no numbers for Furious Flamberge, but that is presumably more like the rigadoon.

This is why everybody recommends Final Flourish or Barbarous Thorn Blade for piercing swords.

Yeah its probably the levels... I didn't realize that my Rigadoon was already level ten.
