I have seen tons of "We need Australian/Asian Server" threads and it makes me feel what would it be like to get rubber-banded into Trojan attacks and being unable to play lockdown. Seerusly OOO, we need an Asian/Australian server. Even though this is a guy from Canada ranting, it's a common problem that has existed from the beginning of Spiral Knights. No server for Asia/Australia, forcing everyone to go to Gamecyber with their HORRIBLE translations. I'll still pay, but ONLY so they can release a server for Australia/Asia. I'm sick and tired, everyone's had enough and we're on the breaking point of quitting.

We need a new server, and NOW.

Sadly OOO seems to think it's wiser to invest on GMs to control forums and the countless useless player reports for a swear word or two rather than some solid hardware which would have probably prevented by the way most rage threads about lag and stuffs on these forums. It took a while already to obtain a server for european players even though there were dedicated havens for some of the main european countries so an Asian/Australian region based server isn't likely to be installed ...

There's no between line

There's no between line message. Spiral Knights as a lot of GMs compared to the size of the community. And the game is hosted on a server cloud, in other words OOO doesn't even have a straight hold on the servers. And what I mean is the first fact seems to explain the second. That doesn't mean GMs are worthless, it means there is a weird unbalance.

once you level cap in pso2 there is nothing to do
and it takes at best a week to level cap with current level cap
the game is pretty boring too, its all grind grind grind
kill 1000 monsters to get to next level

I quite agree with Prevailer, it seriously lacks content right now, but I haven't reached level cap yet so there is still have some way to go. Can't wait for the english version though; I'm sure it's gonna be worth it. Plus the original PSO2 was already like that and it was pretty fun anyway.

PS Tersakaff : Are you brain freezing or something? What's with the caps lock madness? More important, how come you award me with such prize? Did you previously get it and are passing it to me? You seem to think you've got some notoriety because you do nothing but post and insult people all the time; well, you don't. You're just as idiot as the people you blame. Just kidding, you're worse.

English version gives them half a year to keep adding more things. Everything you just described sounds like SK, minus actually having player levels. End game players, what is there for me to do? Waste crowns rolling UVs, make gear I never actually needed, or go buy things for my costumes.. otherwise farm FSC/LoA/Compound 42.

their random map generator is so damn awful, there is maybe like 5 different parts for each field
weapons are restricted to classes, only forces can use techniques
pretty mediocre game if you compare it to first pso which was a game
and lol english version
it will in as bad state as psu english version
you will get some updates after months or years
or never
i like how you think that there is nothing outside of farming in sk
did you never hear of pvp? and not just one type, but two?

The original PSO was the mediocre one, PSO2 blows it completely out of the water. The gameplay in PSO2 is so much better.

It could use a bit more variety, but it's nowhere near as bad as you claim it to be. It feels a lot more random than SK does for sure.

PSO2 has not even been out for a month. It took SK a good 5-6 months to release Blast Network, then a few more to release Lockdown. Honestly, I don't blame PSO2 for not having PVP since they'd pretty much have to make a entirely separate combat system for it.

As for hitting the level cap that soon, I'm not seeing the issue. My friends and I have been playing it daily since it came out on July 4th and the highest leveled among us is level 36, still 4 levels below the current cap.

PSO2 actually has a roadmap of all upcoming content into early 2013. The level cap will be raised, 3 new classes will be added, several new weapon types and techniques, added more new areas, etc.

I do have to wonder though, what does PSO2 even have to do with an Asian SK server? I'm not seeing why it was brought up.

and the roadmap only proves that they feed you scraps like dogs
and lol at random maps being better in pso2
ask around the pso2 community people who reached the cap
unless someone is a maniac who wants to grind pointlessly for some items chances are they are bored like hell

Most people I know who reached the cap are either leveling a different class or hunting for rare stuff. Even the most dedicated players I know haven't capped all three classes yet, I personally won't be leveling Ranger since I find it it really boring compared to the other two classes.

They're delivering content in pieces to make the wait between updates shorter. I personally don't think it's an issue.

I never said that either game had better random maps, just that pso2 feels more random. SK tends to have a lot more of "oh look, it's this room". Basically SK focuses more on making individual rooms stand out while pso2 focuses more on making the structure of the map as a whole seem like one piece.

I do wish PSO2 had more areas with a set layout though. The time attack quest has some nice co-op puzzles.

Honestly my biggest issue with PSO2 is that the community that infested block 20 is a nest of trolls and spammers, I tried asking in there for a party once and the only reply was someone threatening to hack me if I didn't change blocks within 10 seconds. Never going in there again, normal blocks are much nicer.

They don't even care. They're just outsourcing us Asian players to some other company. I've paid about $200 USD into this game and this is what I get. If I want to play without lag then I have to start over on a totally different account since they're probably not going to let us sync accounts over from the main server. Just disgusting.

Meta pretty much summoned up how i feel. It's getting to the point where I just don't want to run in parties. I lag so badly i just die constantly and then get looked down on.

And there is no way i want to be separated from the rest of the world in some crummy private server... just NO Three Rings.

with their fun translations and boring beta testing. All accounts during beta testing will get deleted eventually so, bad idea to move. You also need to subscribe/like their facebook and invite 5 FRIENDS　to get that 'code' thing in order to play, thats just ridiculous.

I wont go anywhere near that greedy company and play by my own. Just stay away from lockdown.
