Anyone with this terrible lag?

Hello, guys...

So... Six months ago the game didn't had this horrible lag level. During the week the lag isn't that much, but on weekends there are moments where I actually die cause the latency is too high.

Anyone with this problem? GMs has some info on this? Plans of better servers or something?

Thanks!

There's just a lot of people playing now.
Most of them experience this issue.
Servers aren't toys you can pass around and change easily.

That help ya?

I don't see any lag. The only

I don't see any lag. The only time I ever get any form of lag is because of my Antivirus that causes me to desync with the server. (IE: Latency)

Get some better interwebs?

Yeah, Tersakaff, I know how

Yeah, Tersakaff, I know how it works to upgrade a server. That's why I pay to buy more energy and kits... I've easily spended more than 40 dollars on this game already and cause of that I just want to know if they will invest into new hardware or optimise the game network code or anything else...

Glacies, I think your location is good for the latencies... I guess better connection isn't going to speed up things, since my latencies in other games are not even close to low as in SK.

Thanks.

The Monday server maintenance might fix it.

It might be your internet too. Dunno. And 40 dollars is nothing towards a server.

Try Compound 42. You'll be warping around the screen while toxoils instantly splashes all over your screen. You'll also feel your connection fluctuating to the point that the server decides to zip you across the screen like some kind of speed hack.

Honestly I find OCH and FSC laggier.

May I offer some things that i found have helped?, I still get lagg spikes, not as much as before, but it helps.

First of all, are you directly wired? or are you wireless? The thing is, many households today run wireless, and by default i believe the channel is usually 11 or 13. What you can do, if you can, have you local IP company find and optimize a channel for you, this will avoid your wireless go into what we call "GHOSTING".

Secondly, look at your hardware, Make sure that you have the latest version of java, or at least update it, that usually helps alot as well.
Thirdly, consider all the connections that you have from your wall to the router and so fourth. Sometimes bad connections allow you to loose much of your bandwith, what we call "Noise", you can also wrap your connections with electrical tape, it helps alot.

These are just some of the things that you can do, But I sincerely Hope that this will bring you a better gaming experience.

And as far as plans of better servers? Not likely- I mean consider the fact that it takes wayy more money to run and maintain servers that are out-of-state, Now consider that if all that money that is used in doing so, would it not be better to get something more localized, and more modern?
Ya, I know that makes too much sense.
