Farewell, until next time...

I have been away for about a week at a camp, and I have made some decisions there.
This is not a rage quit, and I love this game so much- but that is the problem.
I have decided to leave for a while from this game, because it has swallowed so much of my spare time and time essential to my work. I do not know when I will return, or if I intend to. This game is amazing, but it is my own maturity and scheduling that must rise before I find this game again. I need to put my own life before this one, and up until now I have been looking for entertainment. You have probably seen my scuffle over the Guardians Pack, but this is barely related to how I view this game. I love it, but I have a real life too. Oddly enough, I have made this decision with another Spiral Knight at the camp, Undercorper, and we both have made the decision to put this game at a rest as we develop our own scheduling and maturity over how we play this game, not that I feel like an immature personality in-game. The thing is, I feel that I haven't spent enough time with my own surroundings several times for the sake of this game. Thank you, OOO for an awesome game, but I will have to retire for a while before I get on SK once more. No, I will not give anything away. I love you all and pray that you guys make sure you have enough living space for your friends and family. This game is awesome, but it is not everything. I was addicted to this game. Too far. I just want to say that this game is one of the best I have played but it has been cutting in so many times. Thank you OOO, SK Communty, Gyro Avengers, and all of my friends for playing alongside me. But I'm going to have to rest. Like Rangerwill before, my people need me.

Until next time...

In Retirement

It is as the Heavy one said. I will put my trident down and have fired my office. As much as I love my job, it is not so. Thank you, Knights, for giving me the joy over and over to smite you down again and again. But it's enough. I may be looking over the forums a few times, but I will be limited. Good day, and farewell, to you all.

May we meet again...

Good Luck

I hear the graphics out there IRL are awesome. One thing I would add (since this is a discussion and not a blog) is that to really test your maturity and discipline, it seems more healthy IMHO to continue playing the game, but with restraint. If you take away the opportunity with the cold turkey method, then you aren't really rising above the challenge; rather you are depriving yourself of it. I don't know you or anything and you may see it differently, but you seem to have a good head on your shoulders. What if you were to set rules or limitations to your playing time? Just a thought.

Whatever you decide to do, good luck! Also: inb4 flametastic "not your blog" responses from everyone? I hope not.

Hmm...

Actually, sometimes scheduling sometimes does not work for me, at least. We decided to remove from it for a while before we start playing again. I myself am rather unorganized, and would try to become more organized time wise before I start working for the Big One again. It may be depriving of challenge- but I myself would rather try to fill this time with something else more- beneficial IRL. I am not a Den-Player, but just fear to become one. I feel Cold-Turkey would be just fine for me, but thank you for trying to find another solution.
It's good to try to hang out with the family or friends rather than sit down and play video games all day long. It's a great game, but IRL is better- but I really need more organization skills. Yes, I may just replace this game with another- but I have noticed it IS one of the big things standing in my way. I'm not going to change dramatically by leaving a videogame for a month or two, but it's one of the several things I have decided to put aside or change.

Heavy-Duty, I'm pretty sure you were one of the first (non-IRL) people I added to my friends list back about a year ago. We didn't talk a whole lot, but I felt like that was worth mention. Fare thee well, sir, until next time.
