Forgive me if there is already a post about this but I couldn't find an answer.

I'm planning to remake(buy) 3 of my shields with a max variant, but I'm not sure if it's worth it.
For example If I have a Grey Owlite shield, it breaks in 3 hits from a fiend.
If I had a HIGH Shadow UV on it, it would break in 4 "I think"
If I had a MAX Shadow UV would it break in 5 or 6? I'd much rather just get a high if it does break in 5.

Neither, make a shadow

Neither, make a shadow shield. UVs really aren't all that useful on shield. A shadow max would probably survive 4 hits at best.

It's a wild guess. One factor

It's a wild guess. One factor is the stratum: It may resist an extra attack on d22, but not on d26.

Also the time between attacks. What if each devilite deals 2 damage and your shield has 6 health. 3 of them attacking at the same time will destroy it, but if there's a small delay between them, your shield might be able to heal one point in between and keep defending.

Then there's status defese and status enemies (and overtimers), making certain atacks weaker or stronger.

Hard to say something usefull. Could be worth it on occassions but not always. Requires lots and lots of testing to account all variables. They arent generally great but.....

UVs on shields are irrelevant and useless. Getting a shield for each type of damage is much more effective, cost-wise too.
