Hello! My name is Ted, and I've been handling this hot-potato that is my guild for almost a year now. My friends and I at Bullet Seed are in need of help, we need additional support in helping some of the players who are both new to the game, as well as the guild. I will explain this better as I go on. If you find my explanation to be inadequate, please feel free to ask questions, even if you are not particularly interested in joining.
Bullet Seed is a mutually inclusive guild, never denying a player because of armor or status. Because of this, many players need direction or instruction. To this effect, we are looking especially hard for players who are either T3 or have over 400 hours of playing time for "parenting" positions. This is a non-official title that I'm going to throw around a lot, please bear with me.
First off, let me better explain how we rank members:
Recruits: Fresh-Off-the-Skylark players remain at this status until they meet the Member (or higher) requirements. Players who have been inactive for a total of 30 days are removed from the guild.
Members: Players that are T2 or have proven that they can survive well in a T2 environment. Players with this status are applicable for Officer. Players with this status are also protected from inactivity removals for three months.
Veterans: Players that are T3 or have proven that they can survive well in a T3 environment. Players with this status are applicable for Officer. Players with this status are also protected from inactivity removal for 6 months.
Officer: Reserved for all qualifying players who have shown an excellence in socialization with fellow guild members, and have a knowledge capable of guiding other players to success in their own endeavors. Players with this status are protected from inactivity-related removals for a year.
Guild Master: A status reserved for people that another guild master knows very closely, more often than not personally. These players are hand-picked with intentions of guaranteeing consistent moderation.
Please note: Officer is never given to a new member immediately, no matter how qualified they may be for the role, it is done at the discretion of the guild master, and as such can take any amount of time for an officer's induction. We try very hard to be generous with officer, but not in a manner that is self-destructive to the guild.
Parents
This is the unofficial and unenforced title for players who are both very experienced, and very generous with their time. It is not necessarily a designated position, but a facet of guild activity that may be acknowledged. Parents/Parent Officers are encouraged to look for recruits, but by no means required.
Activities
We are ambitiously pursuing a Lockdown guild team, player interest has been insufficient as of late, and volunteers are received well among the players who wish to play a guild match.
We are generally ready to play T2 Lockdown. T3 would be included if the lack of T3 players is remedied.
Strive:
... for a friendly peer-to-peer experience, even to those outside of the guild. Avoid inflammatory argument and act within the Three Rings ToS/EULA
... for a healthy personal growth of your fellow players, be a good example!
Avoid:
... recruiting members from other guilds, unless they explicitly ask to join Bullet Seed.
... using the guild chat to peddle your goods. Letting people know what you have stock is okay when a player mentions that they are looking for something.
Feel free to ask questions, as I will be editing this post as missing info turns up.
And do you have a Mumble server?
Who do i ask?
