Just wondering what data is included in a bug report. I've had GMs asking me to file one once they've already come to assist. I presume that there is more info in them than just what the player types, since otherwise why not just ask us directly? :P

It depends on the situation. If there's a major problem and we're rushing from one person to the next, it's not as fun. In those cases we're just trying to be as quick and efficient as possible. If it's an isolated thing and we get a chance to chat or say hello, it's quite a bit of fun.

Right at this moment? I'd be one of the zombies that continually walks into a low wall trying to reach you. I haven't had my caffeine fix today.

The bug report you submit will send us a good amount of technical information. So these can display errors logs you received from the server or other bits of useful information. It's also a great habit to get players into since there are times where we cannot capture the problem with a single bug report. So if people file one each time the problem happens, we can start to put together a picture about what's going on.

We don't have any current openings, however that doesn't mean we wont in the future. If there comes a point where we need more help, we'll post an announcement letting folks know we're accepting applications again.

Sorry, I don't have any more information I'm able to disclose about it. The developers are still toiling away and I personally I'm excited for the changes and the potential for even more new bits after the first release.

Those of you who have played Puzzle Pirates know that we GMs enjoy running events. However Spiral Knights can be a difficult environment to run events in. For example, because SK uses several instances of Haven, it's very difficult to create meeting places for players. If we were to do an event in BN, only the handful of people who played in the game would be able to participate. Generally we like for GM events to allow for as many people to participate as possible. This is one of the reasons that we've started running some forum events.
We're certainly open to suggestions for events. What would you like to see given what I mentioned above? In what ways would you like to participate in events? Can you think of ways you'd like to interact with GMs?

Hiya Chronus,
You had illuded to this before regarding how GM's operate, and the latest question about the possible job openings intrigued me to where I would like to ask this question (no, I am not asking for a job :)- )
How do the GM 'hours' work? Given this game is going 24/7, and I am guessing there needs to be a GM present somewhere in the game at all times, I take it the typical 9 to 5 work schedule doesn't really fit the bill for you guys. Without forfeiting too much detail, can you give us an insight to how that works?

I'm writing up a bio for the guild I am in (Embersteel) and its founding GM (Streus-The-Avenger), and I was wondering what the name "Ash of Agni" refers to?
Is Agni a place, a person, an item, a battle?
I'm also curious as to what the SK order did BEFORE reaching Haven. Wandering Mercenaries, peacekeepers, invading force?
Lastly, please confirm for me that we are all Aztec Robots. Its fairly obvious, I mean we are powered by Hearts and Energy >.>

Probably wrong place to post this but: I was in a vanna party lobby, when someone teleported in. The party was full with 4 people and we all started saying like what the hell is going on. I was party leader and the person was in some gear that looked like proto. I said should i kick them because they probably wont survive. At that moment the name Atalanta popped up, the under that Three rings and under that Game master. She had no idea what the heck had happened. We asked her what she was doing here and she said "I.. uh... I derped" At that point we all started laughing. Apart from me because i was gonna kick a GM from my party. I was so confused I pretty much froze. True story. If u dont belive me just ask Atalanta. Yea this is the wrong place to post this but what the heck XD.

It can depend a lot on the GM. GMs generally work from home and are located all over the world. We don't work 9-5, and the hours we do work will change from GM to GM. But you'll notice that we do have a set schedule which allows us to provide around the clock coverage.

It would be impossible to determine who the 6 best LD players are. Some players are better in some situations but not others, and given that this game is international, there are probably quite a few players who are excellent that you've never seen play simply because they play at a different time than you.

While I do know some interesting bits of lore that haven't been released, I'm not able to share it. I know that over time the developers plan on bringing more public so everyone can learn back story at the same time. These snip-its of lore that come in the missions and danger missions are one of my favorite things to stumble across when first going through the missions.

I remember reading a long
I remember reading a long time ago that SK was full of secrets, like secret boxes etc. that we find down in levels. However one GM or dev mentioned a big secret that no one has seemed to notice yet.. I was wondering if anyone has yet and how about how many secrets/ easter eggs there are that we don't know about. Also, was Spiral Knights intended to be an allegory?

1) how is it like being a gm?
2) do you feel bad after banning someone?
3)how do we chat/whisper to gm's?
4)can you change something annoying in the dungeons? Ex:1) i attack enemy 2) another is about to attack me 3) i shield right before it hits me 4) looks like it would hit the shield 5) there is some lag and it shows that i got hit, even though my shield was up
i forgot to add. i AM knight Rainjinmaru. Rainjinmaru was a knight on newgrounds that somehow allowed me to post on the forums once. i contacted the support and got answered by Atropos and Helios. this knight, VolTorian is a knight actually made on Spiral Knights page.
