I must say, this game is really cool. I have sort of a ''nostalgic'' feeling when I play it, even tho I've never played the game before. It reminds me of old ps1 games / snes rpgs that I use to love dearly. The gameplay is simple, yet there is enough depth in it to keep me playing. I duno why this game isnt more popular than it is now. Sure it has its fanbase... but it should have alot more people playing.. maybe I havent played enough to see any real flaws. Here is a little montage I put together from my first day of gameplay :D http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n3ziNGQF8fo&feature=colike
My first day in the game...
Hello and welcome,
Please ignore Undercorper for now, he's not supposed to be part of the orientation yet, he plays a part when you get to the devilites.

Yes this game is a ton of fun, but the big hill (or flaw, for those who don't think their way over it) that a lot of people hit is when you need to start using crystal energy (CE), which is bought by other players with cash. Fear not, you can buy it yourself, but the free route is obviously slower.
Generally, the approach is as follows:
Use your mist to get crowns as efficiently as possible, buy CE. Repeat until you have enough ce & crowns and etc. to craft your item.
If you have two computers, you can have two accounts that have their own mist pools on each computer (just don't log into the wrong computer with the wrong account). You can use one of the alts to craft stuff (2* stuff) to sell or to help make gear for your main guy. This helps supplement your cash flow and allow you to gather resources more quickly.
If you happen to buy ce (even the smallest amount), you could achieve the above on the same computer.

You can completely ignore this and just play it as you see fit, but it's probably the biggest hurdle most free players need to come to terms with.
If you need a guild, feel free to join our's!
Contact Vivid-Gluttony or Vindeus in game :D
*cough* Be nice to rookies.... stop scaring the fresh leafs dull.
Welcome to SK, we hope you have a long and nice, full of ce-purchases stay!
Here's a few things you'd wanna know:
Check the wiki! Read everything you can as it's very useful.
Don't beg. Ever.
Don't CE rev. Wait for others to rev you.
Hah, you'll see one. Fuu fuu. Well, anyway. BYEEEEEE!!!
I watched that video and couldn't help but notice that you had damage numbers on in addition to knowing how to sit down. Now that leads me to one of two conclusions: either you're just attempting to troll us, or you did your research. If it's the former, nice try. If it's the latter, great! It's always nice to have newbs around instead of the seemingly endless supply of noobs. Also, if you plan to stay on the forums, be sure to avoid the Wrath of Asuclam. The best way to do this is to not say anything to anyone ever (I mean what do you think these forums are for? Discussion?). And an avatar is suggested. Other than that, have fun! Oh, and don't bother with any recipes under 2 stars. And even be wary of some of those. Damage and defense bars lie.
Im not sure what you mean by 'damage numbers'. Maybe I had it on without knowing? I was messing around with the options before hand. I know how to /sit because thats in pretty much every online rpg ive played lol. I may be a noob to this game, but i'm not a noob to MMORPGs. One of the first things I do when I play a new game is sse what /commands there are.
Thanks for watching my video tho! I appreciate it. Took me 2 and a half hours to make lol
Twas a very nice video, good job on it and welcome to the game/forums.
It's a knowledgable rookie! ^w^
Yes, /sit and /command are very common in most RPG games. :3
Not sure I'm qualified to welcome anyone, (I've only been playing for a little over a month now) But welcome none-the-less!
If you want to move along in the game quicker, like has been mentioned in previous comments, you'll buy CE using real money, but just wanted to add my opinion that games tend to be more fun when you have to work harder and longer to achieve your goal. Simply being able to purchase your way to the top seems kinda fake to me =/ (Not to mention expensive. Again! Only my opinion) It's taken me about a month, but I've finally gotten full 4 star armor, so... not too bad I guess.
Whatever you choose to do, hope you have fun! =)
@Ubernerd: I think that damage numbers may have become the new standard, because they were automatically on when I started playing.
you say I duno why this game isnt more popular than it is now.
i say its because there is no little girls in this game here
No... little... girls... ?
The community has girls playing the game, and are either adults or teens. o.O
The rules has stated that under the age of 13 is restricted to play this game.
*cough* I don't think it is the problem about popularity...
......
So ye wanted 2 Inabas dancing?
Okay, my faithful butler, please send someone with a Emberbreak Helm with Extra Vertical Vents on, followed up with a Toasty Spiral Sallet with a Toasty Side Blade or a Armor of the Fallen suit with a Fancy Side Blade on. She also needs a good talent of dancing. A friend in here wants a girl-sightseeing.
no kid
its not what i want
its what the casuals playing mmos want
geddit?
*mmph cough cough cough cough*
Sire, I know we lack of girl costumes to attract girls to play the game... there's something called suggestion, too.
Who doesn't want girls to dress cute? (*w*a
(unless those costume mix are not really attractive)
Gentlemen, take your differences elsewhere. This is not the time nor the place and I do say, you are derailing the thread.
What's happening? (hides in corner) Also, your going to want to turn the graphics to low, seeing as keeping them at high makes the game lag terribly.
Yeah I noticed optimization isnt this game's strong point lol but it isn't laggy enough for me to notice most times. Im thinking of ideas for another video... ill post it here when its done...if the thread isnt dead by the time I finish :D
Why not make a Fan-Made Trailer? My Devilites enjoy watching commercials (not that I'll let them watch the movies, of course) before I start yelling BACK TO WORK, and I think Knights would like so too. But try to find your favorite armors and weapons of choice for favorite bosses or levels. You will need them. Oh and watch out for flying TV screens or Swivel Chairs. Or burning pitchforks. Or death.
...TIP: When in group, do not revive yourself unless all are dead. When solo, try not to die as much.
Welcome to Cradle, and I enjoyed your montage. It'll fit your adventure quite well! Just try to avoid my employees- they get excited when they see the new Knight around. Here's a tip- try to avoid flying chairs and hug the Greavers (the bat things) because they will love you.
