I lost all hope

Long awaited missions with character , all hope is gone
First of all, let me explain what I mean from "missions with character.."
You see, for a very long time, I had waited, and watched, and hoped, That any knight in the clockworks would be able to continually interact with NPC's, In one example, you would goto 'Kozma' for instance and talk to her about a mission that she has, I mean it could be something totally different every day, that is, The mission would be appropriate to your current level. Upon successful completion, you can recieve either rare materials, or even a lockbox.
I mean it would give the game more character, as far as NPC's, But what we do have is a bunch of levels, Not exactly a Itinerary of sorts, Just go do a level and get it done.
I mean we do, but after you get the Pre-set ones done, then what? Grinding just get's repetitive, and yet you have to grind, and grind some more.
From my standpoint it adds more excitement, instead of the usual , "bleh.. I have to grind jelly king yet again for tokens, cause I need them.."
I mean for a run-of mill player like me that has to grind, and Im not talking about the rich players, they just spend money on all that they want.
Well that's my thought, it was a good try, i already know that this, like all the others will fall on deaf ears, and end-up in the circular file.
3 years, and still waiting.. may just give up altogether.. I dunno.

"'Kozma' for instance and talk to her about a mission that she has, I mean it could be something totally different every day, that is, The mission would be appropriate to your current level"
Prestige missions. I know what you mean tho, instead of talking and stuff, the game offers a magik button that teleports you to missions, and the roster of available options isnt big.

"Hey guyz y dont we put quests lol! it wuld be so awesome! and maybe pets too while we're at it and add skillz 2! and maybe rename the game to world of sk"

Lol Tersakaff
I would like to see a bit more story progression and connections. A new batch of Rank Missions with Lore that connects a lot of the things that we've learnded (or doesn't) would be a nice addition.
Until then, the Dangermissions are good enough to keep me in for a while, but I still can't bring myself to come back and play a full session.

@ POKENUEVO,,
Dont you get it? The game has been more about Form ( Looks) than overall Enjoyment and fun ( Function).
But I guess 13 year olds still lack the brainpower to comprehend this, Maybe then when you finally get into High-School, you will be able to comprehend.

First of all, I'm not in middle school. Please refrain from insulting over the internet, it only makes the person insulting look bad. Resorting to age is one of the most pitiful whines I've ever seen. I know 12 year olds who are as smart and mature as I am (and I like to hold myself in a high regard in terms of that).
Let's talk about Looks vs Function:
Both are necessary for the other's purpose. If we didn't have such cute, nice-looking knights, people wouldn't play the game. Looks are what appeal to the human eye, usually making them want more of whatever the object is. Not a single person here would've played the game, had it not been for such amazing graphics. When they see the "pros" in 5* gear with pimped out accessories, they start to think, "That could be me one day." We were all like this. Once we've become amazed with what the game looks like, we start to play the game. At first, I was thinking, "Damn, that was fun." Soon I became hopelessly addicted to the game (I'm just joking). Games that play well, with lesser artwork and graphics do exist. Do they do as well? That's subjective, but we can agree that there are some that did very well (i.e. The original Fire Emblem games). In fact, I love the old Fire Emblem games. The way OOO approached this was their choice. They did make more artistic choices over action, but they've been making up for it ever since. The addition of Danger Missions is exactly the addition of new levels that people wanted, along with the difficulty the experienced players wanted. However, I still am blind to how you brought the Art vs Story argument into a thread about NPC interaction and side quests. Side quests really aren't what make games playable, rather, only a way to stall a player from finishing/quitting. These side quests are in essence the prestige missions we've been getting.

None of us stick around if we are not having fun, as several more well known members of the community have proven by leaving. Also, assuming Pokenuevo is 13 just makes you look short-sighted yourself.
Personally I rather like NOT having to travel to some random NPC to access the missions and "daily quests" (read: Prestige Missions), it is nice to just be able to hit a button and be in it instead of having to hunt them down and go through the "Lo, noble warrior, kill exactly 10 pests for me like an OCD Orkin man," junk to accept the quest.
I do agree that more story in SK would be nice, but running around to pick up quests would just be a pain like it is in every other MMO.
Also... tell me about your 3 years on SK, as the game has not been out officially for even 1.5 years yet, and you would have had to be in early beta to be anywhere near 3 years.

Yes,, from the time this game was in its infancy, the 'Beta' days, even before there was an auction house.
Then, for those of you that remember, The Turtledome monster was removed, i guess everyone was after that shield that he eventually dropped.
Then I still remember when the 'Ghost-train' was still in moorcroft manor, then that was removed as well.
Then they finally implented the new so-called expansion, complete with the auction house, and of course, the weapon sets.
Just before they Implemented the accessories, remember when they Buffed Jelly-King? what they did was add those god awful spikes, I guess to many complained that he was too easy.
the rest is history..

I'm not understanding how that helped your case to implement NPC side quests in the game.
Also, the Turtledome monster? I'm laughing pretty hard right now.

Ok now I know I've seen Tech-Ally before, but this is just a trainwreck of a thread, aside from some workable ideas.
Sad to see another person lose hope in the game... o wait not really because these threads are becoming pretty popular nowadays.

I guess most dont remember the turtledome Boss, he used to roam Aurora fields around tier 2-3' ish.

My bad, he is Tortodome,, LOL where did I get turtledome from?, Eh... Anyways.

Tortodrone was in the game before the game was even in beta, 3 years ago.

actually not really , he was implememted shortly afterwards, then there was talk of the haven expansion.

I was being sarcastic... I thought it was obvious when I basically said that Tortodrone was implemented before the game was ever created. <.<

"turtledome"
"Tortodome"
We aren't getting anywhere now are we?

Why are we still arguing about petty things like this? Can I call off-topic?

"Man, I wish Spiral Knights was more like my other favourite games. OOO is really shooting themselves in the foot by not catering to my tastes. Players are staying in droves! Oh well, a mature high schooler such as myself cannot hope to be understood by the masses of unwashed tweens that engulf me"
Also pedantry over spelling.
Overall: 3/10

Dancinjen ye're ruining my suprise for ters
he said he wanted a kitty.
but I wanted a kitty to bite ters at his shoulders

"Hey guys, can we at least have something that breaks up the monotony of grinding?"
"NO STOP CRITICIZING THIS PERFECT GAME YOU 12 YEAR OLD GOD WHY ARE YOU SO ENTITLED TO HAVE A GAME THAT IS MILDLY ENJOYABLE AND PROMISED NO GRINDING ON ITS INITIAL RELEASE EXCEPT THAT IS NOW LITERALLY ALL THERE IS TO DO IN THE GAME JUST GRIND FOR STUPID COSMETIC ITEMS IF YOU DONT LIKE GRINDING FOR USELESS CRAP JUST GO PLAY TF2 ALL YOU HAVE TO DO IS IDLE FOR ITEMS I FOR ONE ENJOY HAVING TO SPEND 3 WEEKS DOING THE SAME SET OF LEVELS BACK TO BACK FOR HOURS A DAY TO GET AN ITEM JUST BECAUSE IT CHANGES TO THE SAME COLOUR AS MY KNIGHTS PERSONAL COLOUR"

Something that breaks up the monotony of grinding?
That's a fancy term for Blast Network.

Yeah but honestly who grinds Blast Network over Lockdown.

People who want Krogmo Gear before they hit Tier 3.

But I guess 13 year olds still lack the brainpower to comprehend this
Apparently dissent=being 13 years old. Coincidentally, this is logic that 13 year olds adhere to. Delicious irony.
MMO's tend to not be based around assistance or reliance on NPC's. However, what is wrong with doing a level, then having it done. This game was not meant for life to based around it. Originally it was for casual play, one or two runs a day. I assume OOO never expected accessories/items/UVs to reach the prices they have now, back from when they first started the game. You're the knight that will be fighting your own battles with your squadron in the Clockworks.
"3 years, and still waiting.. may just give up altogether.. I dunno."
I laughed hard at this. Tell me about the 3 years you played this game and how the lack of NPC presence will take you away from it.
