So it seems that any time you are hit and take damage, your attack is disrupted. Any charge is lost, and you have to start your attack again.
I have tested a 3 heat Troika; it doesn't do this to monsters.
I have tested a 10 heat Brandish; about 2/3rds of the time it will knock the enemy back and disrupt their attack, on the first swing. (This was first noticed around 5 heat; I don't know if it was happening before that or not). It is this nature -- the first hit may disrupt, the second hit seems to always disrupt -- that lead me to think "Charge!" is a great strategy post rebalance.
But the fundamental question:
My attack only disrupts the enemy if I'm knock them back, with some weapons, not others.
Their attacks always disrupt mine.
So, the questions:
1. Do others have the same observations, or am I mistaken?
2. Is this the design goal/intent, or does this reflect a programming error?
3. Is this what we want? How do we want attack versus attack to resolve?
4. And if you have attack versus attack, why not any parry possibility?
(Both swords are two-star; tests were conducted on a high frame rate Microsoft Windows machine.)
..... You just noticed this?
Anyway, troika and other heavy weapons have kb on both hit but only interruption on the second hit. This is kinda buggy right now though, I guess they devs need to sort this out sometime.
