Good idea, or bad idea?
Mics.
I wouldn't be opposed to this for in dungeons. I wouldn't have it operate outside of dungeons except if you specifically request to speak to another player.
DDO had native mic support for party play which allowed for much more complex tactics. Adding similar mic support for SK would allow for more complex puzzles where players require better coordination.
How about only in the Clockworks, then? Or only your friends/guildies?
Use a chat service externally.

Hazel - external chat services only work with other players who also have those services. If the mic support is in-game, you can instantly connect with any player you happen to be paired with in a dungeon. Even if they don't have a mic to talk back, they can hear you and follow your instructions.
If you play SK exclusively with guildies or other static groups external programs work just fine, but with random groups it isn't realistic. Random users aren't going to have ventrilo on their computer, nor is it convenient to stop and trade that information each time you meet a new player.
Yeah, random people voip and chatting usually goes well, totally.
Oh, wait.

The anti-voice comments are pathetic. There is always an option to disable voice in any game that provides it. No one has to hear any voice if they don't want to. For those who find a use for it, it can add something to the game.
For anyone using external voice, that's fine as well (I use Mumble/Vent).
It's always a nice option to have in a game. I don't how stupid you have to be think it would hurt the game, aside from taking a few hours for one programmer to add a premade voice library/class, and and artist/scripter to add to the in-game menus.
Oh i thought this said MISCS lol. :p incoherent babbleling please~!
Haha I'm pretty opposed to this, too. I would rather talk through Skype, or other things mentioned here. Would really not enjoy the day I run into a foul mouthed child.
Also gell, there's really no need to sit there and call everyone stupid for voicing their opinions, especially since that's what BurceChuat asked for :)
If this is added to the game, I'm going to turn it off and never look back. I'm going to get idiot teenagers who want me to turn it on so they can plan leet strats with Bieber or Perfect Circle blaring in the background. I'm going to be booted from leet groups who think they need voice chat for the graveyard. It's going to suck.

Somehow this seems like a gross underestimation of the necessary work involved.
