I got the new Dark Matter Bomb and I dont know if I should be going for the Deadly Dark Matter Bomb or Shocking Salt Bomb.
Which bomb is better?

The problem is that the dark matter is slightly more powerfull than the salt bomb but salt bomb has dmg vs slimes high and both of thhem deal shadow damage

This is the problem with new weapons, uncertain stats like damage
The difference in damage is currently unknown, meaning an unknown amount of damage for status, and Slime DMG bonus

The damage bonus is useless if you like trinkets/bombastic/mad bomber.
Shock is situational. Sometimes it may output more damage, sometimes it'll be an annoyance.
Neither is overall better unless you put them in a specific context.

All the shard bombs are bad,
All the shard bombs are bad, get a nitro instead.
ISB MAY be somewhat useful due to shock but not very much.

The shock prevents knockback,
The shock prevents knockback, which is one of the annoyances of this bomb line.
Do you want shock? Yay? Nay? That's what you should use to decide.
Unfortunately both aren't "excellent" bombs at the moment
But it's pure damage VS status, slight damage reduction for shock status
That may kill you fighting Quicksilvers, and kill other thing faster(Slimes, PvP, large groups)
