(I couldnt find any other threads about this, excuse me if its been mentioned)

As many of you may know, Spiral Knights has a steam group to annoince major updates such as the shard bomb changes. However, for some reason, one change is only viewable there. (It was in the announcment on Steam, but not on the sites patch notes or mail in game). And that change is:

Reduced the size of the damage area for all Flourish-style swords

Link: http://steamcommunity.com/games/spiralknights/announcements/detail/18039...

Note: After testing, there hasn't been a change yet, though, it will likely be changed soon

Well, let's pull up Serell's

Well, let's pull up Serell's Flourish thread and see if the range really has decreased.

Serell is now a happy Serell

"Reduced the size of the damage area for all Flourish-style swords"
"Adjusted the particle effects of Flourish-style swords to better reflect the damage area"

I think they took Juances idea of a middle ground. Well I guess this update isn't all fail, ruining my beloved ISB in LD.

Thank you, OOO.

It's the same for me.

It's the same for me. Possibly even farther. I can still hit the switch from almost twice the length of my sword.

Just did some testing myself.

While the range hasn't seem to have increased, I sense no change at all. It still has the same (if not more) range as the heavy swords.

Strikers can still have a field day using this thing.

Yup, looks exactly the same.

Yup, looks exactly the same. Maybe they copy-pasted a bit of the next patch's notes by accident.

I wonder what happened to those arsenal updates anyway.

If the range does become reduced harshly, I damn well hope they fixed some old weapons too, if not add new ones.

Those dealing with latency issues still have a rather tedious experience when dealing with the likes of Fiends and what have you; things that the Flourish, especially as the first and only Piercing-damage Sword, was practically designed for, and what it was used for, and what it's still used for outside of the coliseum minigame.

They didn't fix anything, seemingly, or did it too little.

Why wasn't this in the in-game patch notes anyway??
