This is a place for minor questions about the game that you don't feel like making a topic for. I'll start...

1. Are the 100 token Grim and Forge spark trinkets worth it? I've got 50 Grim and 22 Forge right now. I think I'm def gonna get the 100 Grim Dread Skelly Charm... but is it worth saving up 100 Forges, which would take forever, to get the fire or elemental def trinket? Are the heart pendants better?

2. Does heat gained get split between armor ("armor" being helm, shield, and body armor) and weapons or do each get the full amount since they're different classes of items?

1. Heart Pendants are better.

2. Heat is distributed across all items indescriminately, and equally, when leveling multiple items, as far as I know.

It's all split.
Equip just all level 10 gear and one that's not level 10, and you'll see that it splits when necessary.

1. Depends. While +health gives you a boost in survivality, it's only significant when you have full hp, I'd rather have armor.

Thanks. The Dread Skelly trinket gives a lot of shadow def. The ele def and fire res Forge trinkets don't give that much. I think I'm gonna go Dread Skelly + Heart.

And wow, didn't know that about heat... all this time I've been leveling stuff up thinking weaps and equip were separate.

hmm, I've been thinking about this since I looked back at cold snap vs the freezing bomb series...

what's the difference between the effect lengths described (on any weapon). Strong vs minor vs good? If you need to use an example to paint a picture for me, then use freeze :-)

What should I do now? I have Miracle Hood/Cloak, Shivermist Buster, Volt Driver, and Vile Striker. Something tells me I should either get Demo or Vog + Faust.

Kite the rockets over to other pups/behind the pups, or run up close to them and block(assuming you have a shield with elemental defense) in their face.

Get yourself the usual loadout of endgame stuff; Argent Peacemaker, DA, GF, Vog Cub, Heart Pendants, Grey Owlite Shield.

Deadshot Chapeau wiki says

Deadshot Chapeau wiki says "Handgun Damage Bonus vs Undead: Medium"... then when you click to see the full description "handgun" isn't there. The recipe in game doesn't say handgun, either. So I'm assuming the bonus damage applies to all your weapons and not just guns?

Correct. It adds the Damage Bonus to any weapon hitting an Undead if it does not have an icon specifying a weapon type.

One question about damage

One question about damage bonuses: what stage of damage bonus gets the damage up to neutral damage levels versus stuff that is resistant against the type of used damage? Like, what kind of bonus vs beasts should i get on a voltech alchemer to have it hit at least that much damage that i'd do to Fiends and Jellies?

That would depend on if the damage bonus is applied before or after the resistance.

If before, then it would be impossible.
If after, then it might be at High or Maximum, dependent on the strength of the bonus in general.

I suspect it is before, so I wouldn't bother with UVs that apply bonuses to resistant creatures.

Grim, how much damage would it take to get high/very high/maximum for a specific type? Like let's say Deadshot (medium undead dmg) + medium undead on a weapon... what does that equal?

Medium + Medium = Very High, not Maximum! Still 2 "points" short of Maximum!.

At least, if I recall correctly.

The cap on weapons refers to the unique variant possibility not the ability itself, the ability itself can attain maximum. Lets take bombs for example, by default they get medium ctr on Lv. 10 and to go along with bombs you have demo sets. Sets. Sets. Sets. Ok. Sets are made to be worn both helmet and suit at once, right? At least visually speaking to achieve that certain line of style. So whats the point of the CTR: med on both Mad Bomber Suit and Mad Bomber Mask? It would be highly illogical for those to exist if the CTR was really capped at very high.

That is my favorite question! I have to ask why you asked why though? Because, you could be asking: "why necro old thread?", but you could also be asking "why would Fallenhope necro a thread that shows him backseat-modding someone else for necro'ing?" If it's the latter, then I totally agree with Duke's question of "why?"

But! If the real "why" was the former, then I disagree! Because this thread is actually a pretty cool idea. Yeah, we could always post in "New Recruits," but this is a nice, catch-all place that people could post random questions that they know can be answered in one or two quick posts. That way, we don't clog up the first page. I can remember times where I had a question, but didn't want to be all "hey looky me post my dumb question on page 1" lol. It's a place for like... ninja questions, that can be kept on the down-low... nobody gotsta know, you know?
