Level Difficulty & Crown Earning.

I know I'm not very strong in the game, but I believe that the difficulty changes in each rank differ too much...
From one rank, it's easy peasy. The next, you can die a million times and never get through it! This is the reason I, and others, need stronger people to help us finish missions...

I do know you can buy items in auctions to get stronger, but I mean, it's also very hard to earn crowns... small monsters are worth max 5 crowns, and it doesn't get much bigger than that... There should be an easier way to get crowns. Most of you guys have played another game, where you can earn crowns by a daily scratch card, or a item machine that you can get money or items by luck. I think this could be a great addition to Spiral Knights.

I thank you for your time, and hope you can agree with me.

really a bad thing

While getting more crowns easier may SEEM like a good think to you, it would actually be a bad thing, and make stuff even harder. Why? The CE price would also go up, More crowns in the system = higher CE prices. What really needs to happen is more crown sinks need to be introduced (OOO that doesn't mean a horribly unbalanced CE sink to go with it) to get rid of some of the excess crownage and drop CE prices.

This guy thinks that game is

This guy thinks that game is too easy, so please make up you mind people! ;-)

Anyway, a bit of advice (and warning) - better gear doesn't mean much if you won't improve your skills. Inexperienced player still will be mauled in Tier 2 and 3, even if he buy some fancy new sword from AH. Don't waste your crowns at AH. It's much cheaper to craft everything yourself. Also, when you are crafting everything by yourself your arsenal will expand at the same pace as your skills.

And getting help while doing missions is not bad thing either. That way you can make some friends or be invited to some decent guild. Plus you will probably learn a thing or two from more experienced players.

Also, I believe this thread should be moved to New Recruits.

Difficulty should = Major

Difficulty should = Major profit. Unfortunately, its nearly the opposite unless you can run danger mission without dying once solo.

What SHOULD happen is FSC gets a cr nerf to a maximum of 5k cr, and Dangermissions should be buffed to 5k MINIMUM.

Add a good crown sink and you've helped tha market a bit so that it is suitable for ALL players, so it doesnt demend you to play only on mist and only play RJP or FSC flawless for a week straight.

Xylla.

If ye're making FSC worthless, then ye're making the danger missions worth better to farm instead of FSC.

Hm..

Thanks for your comments guys, but I believe that this game could be made more fun if it was easier to get crowns...like I mean, I'm stuck where I have to get 3 star + armour, and it's just hard to get stuff... the CE, materials AND recipes. The ones you get free just aren't good enough, and it's a waste of time and items.

And another thing is that if we can't get crowns easier, why not bring the prices down in shops..

It will take a while to get

It will take a while to get your stuff but eventually you'll learn how to get crowns easyer. 3* are about 15k a piece on the Auction house. You need 60k to be fully equiped, I'll asume you're not making that much crowns for now, around 5k out of your 100 Mist Energy I guess? It's only 12 days of grinding ;) Patience is the key, once you get used to the game and stuff up yourself to 3*, you will access more profitable missions, for instance, the Jelly Palace which will grant your 10k at least per 100 Mist, granted you only complete the two first levels and leave before the boss.

Good Luck.

It is not always easy for

It is not always easy for starters nowadays.

It'll take some time to finish crafting up to 5*.

this game isn't that hard, just several tough levels.

My oppinion:
1st of all why I'm so addicted to 'polaris' guns, I'm trying to collect a set with VH damage UVs, still need slime.
I basically used my kilowatt pulsar blasted my way through most rank missions, I even shot wolvers and gremlins with it, time consuming but fun. I learned how to dodge, learned how to deal with different kind of monsters. Scarlet fortress was tough, harder than Jk IMHO.

After struggling through RT with my fixed 1bar, rockets smashing through my shield and getting dragged all the way through, finally I got 4* gigawatt, followed the same routine, blasting everything out of the way. Of course I solo'd most levels.

The real challenging missions to a new player imo are: Rise or fall, Built to destroy, the return of Ur, weight of darkness, the silent legion and of course the gauntlet. FSC was ok, trolled around with my new polaris, I find all candle levels rather easy so thats not a problem.

The best way I could think of is doing JK over and over again, along with mayb 1 rank mission everyday. Then go all the way to RT, back to JK, get DA and blitz first for vana later on. After doing all that you're fine to deal with vana now, more runs=more skills (I can't garantee no death JK but FSC I can.)

Easiest way to earn crowns will be sticking your head into AH, buying cheap items and resell them, ie i bought shock high wolver for 40k and selled for more than 200k. Some ppl just don't like setting starting bids.

yeah, but at least there's

yeah, but at least there's SOME variation in them, and they're generally much more difficult than memorizing FSC. (Sure they may be easy in a few months, but still.)

What I'm getting at is that the amount of payout a level has should accurately reflect its difficulty. For example:

Harder mission = more cr.

Easier mission = less cr.

The exception is that once you're able to run FSC smoothly, you practically pay yourself to go thru it, since it gives you nearly double what you spent in Energy.

Also Prestige missions are once a day, and even if you did leave before the elevator just for the cr, it would still be more of a challenge getting back through it for the riches at the end than FSC is (where every floor gives about 1000-2000cr)

Anyways. Harder levels, more money. Easier levels, less money. I know its still going to be hard to follow, but if people dont want to rely on CE promos for the price of CE to go down, then the level that pays for you to go thru it needs a nerf so that its in line with the rest of the game: just enough so that surviving is a bit easier on the newbies.

I'm off-topic now. ignore me.

If only you joined the game

If only you joined the game last year when CE was 3.5K per 100. It would of been very possible for you to play and craft the gear you need. Now you have CE at 8000+ per 100 making it near impossible for new players to craft gear without someone else helping them or throwing their money at Three Rings.
