Secret in C42: Stalker!

I don't see it documented anywhere, but today I made a run with some friends to C42. When in the "dungeon" (2nd floor better?) while going up in the start point, I ignored the golden Wisps and just rushed forward. Somehow, I may have activated something and a Stalker appeared! It was unexpected and we fought it, though it was mostly chaos due to not knowing how they fight.... something I had to learn while at it.
I don't have any screenshots, sorry, but you can try it as there is still some time. As I say, I don't see it documented in the wiki and I don't think I have seen any topic discuss it... so sorry if it is done before and I will graveyard this if so!

Yeah there is a Ghostmane
Yeah there is a Ghostmane Stalker towards the start of the 2nd floor of C42. Really unsure how you make it appear since I've only seen it once.

Yeah I had a Shiver, but it left me an impression and we decided to just melee it, though it showed us its attacks by then xD

If they're in the level then
If they're in the level then they are probably the "hiding" ones... ones that don't target anybody with a Deathmark and just stay cloaked. It is also probably always there. The only way to find the ones that just hide is more or less to pepper the area with gun shots and hope you peg the thing.

I remember it "spawning", I may be wrong, but what I am sure of it is that I was in the head of the group and my two weapons were a Gran Faust and Shivermist Buster... so I couldn't have shot it accidentally, it also "targeted" (mark) me first.

Gremlins in general like to run away (mostly lone menders or damaged thwackers). Could be the reason it's not always found.

If that is true, then the trigger may not be the message but as I suspect, the poison mask, and then there would be TWO Stalkers, one at the beginning, the one you seem to have seen, and another at the turn, which is the one our group saw.
Right now we don't have C42, but in two days I will check it out.

Today I couldn't get him to show up v.v
We tried first after reaching the floor to kill the mobs in the first flamethrower and then we touched the poison wisps. Nothing, so it didn't appear to show up there. Just trying if he changed places like the stone cube that triggers the ghost block in Heart of Ice. A partner spoke too with the note left by Herex just in case.
Later on we advanced, dispatched the 2nd wave. Then we cleared all stone blocks to see if there was a button there. We also attacked the flamethrowers. Then, we proceeded to advance touching the poison wisps. Nothing.
I left Shivermist bombs all over the straight path and there was nothing there. We attacked were I saw him spawning (in the corner between the two frontal flamethrowers) and nothing.
It seems to be a rare encounter. It is more frustrating I didn't make a screenshot, thinking someone else would know the spawn method before me. Later on in the map there aren't any poison wisps, so I really don't know what is wrong here.
Maybe it was the opposite and I didn't touch any wisps when I spawned it?

A guildie and I ran into one today on 2nd depth right after the first section. Can't remember if it spawned in or not but it caught me by surprise.
Why was I not with you? D:
I do not have OCH and I wanted to see one.
Was probably a bug.
