Is that because you are of legal drinking age?
Drinking, for many people is treated like a "right of passage" into adulthood. It can be a very exciting but often dangerous time. Many people act all crazy and tend to over exaggerate their drunken behavior when they are drunk the first few times. It's kind of a maturity thing. Maybe you are just too mature to act foolish when drunk.
My hunch is that most people use alcohol as an excuse to do things they shouldn't (like cheating on their partner or buying something really expensive, or engaging in extremely passive-aggressive behavior) and then saying "oho man, did I do THAT??? whoa, sorry!"
That's my experience, at least. Ok, back to the spam reading! /coffee

Thanks for the lesson we all knew about Virtuewis. Acting as adults though, that's really subjective to some people. Some of us are social drinkers, some of us aren't. There comes a time when all that **** gets old though, and I'm surprised to see many gamers even drink. None of my ol friends knew or played games that much(save for a close few), and even if they did, they hardly had time to do things you guys did. I have another ol best friend that just games as his only hobby, but he doesn't drink at all(save for his older brother who works at ign and probably has to drink, and his little brother who's a cop and hardly plays games anymore with him, maybe). Not that he's uptight, I'm guessing he can't relate to a lot of people since he has games no one cares about, and he knows he's the weird one out of the group. It's okay here though, because you guys all have something to relate to. I grew up in a world where no one didn't, which is why I didn't drink so often, especially by myself. I mean the chances of a coworker knowing about this game is impossible, and I hate how my mind is wrapped around this game, that I can't spend time engaging in anything else. If I talk about anything from this game, people will think I'm weird.

I actually don't drink either, but my friends are all raging alcoholics. This is why I knew about the behavioral psychology aspect haha. One of my friends once did passive aggressive elbow drops on the roof of my car back in the day...
It almost sounds like you are describing me (IRL) in your comment though haha. I don't really party and get all drunk but I'm not against it, it's just not my thang. I'm the only gamer of my friends also, so dang dude it's like you're reading my mind! :D
