Greetings fellow knights!,

Faction mode would basically be a mix of both pvp mode and clockworks mode, but you must have/be in a guild in order to play, then guildmaster(s)

choose(s) an area to place their guilds HQ (different clockwork areas like devilish drudgery or scarlet fortress for example) from there, guildmasters can

dispatch there guildies into different areas inside and out of their HQ in order to conquer more land/terrorities.Lockdown equipment like the jets, stealth

device, and area shield would be available to knights to use in the field so they could scout and conquer more land.During a knights scouting or conquering,
you may encounter other knights from a different guild at which point you will encounter hostilities, diplomacy,or simply retreat. As such, aside from

fighting monsters to take land, you will encounter opposing guilds also staking claim to more ground, thats where PvP comes in.Guildmasters could

dispatch up to 10 knights per team and 3 per recon team, so a guildmaster has to dispatch multiple teams for a successful conquest or

confrontation.Alliances and enemys would be made by Guildmasters only,so a knight to knight encounter would have to be reported to the guildmaster,as

such i would suggest having multiple guildmasters to cover different shifts of sorts. The goal of this mode is to give guilds more purpose and also to

conquer the regions of cradle not under the spiral orders control.Your guild would fight and conquer monster held areas and opposing guilds' HQs'. it

would not be a strategy game as it sounds like it would, the only strategy elements are choosing where to put your HQ and where to dispatch your

knights,Guildmasters can also head into the field with a team of 15 knights due to their vitality to the guild. In a nutshell, Your guild travels across cradle

in order to conquer all of the lands, along the way becoming stronger and fighting rival guilds in the shared pursuit of power.I feel this would bring more

RPG elements and make the game more lively so you dont just head down into clockworks day after day,in addition, there would have to be more new areas the accomodate this modes longevity.
-Thank you

In this game, you head into the clockworks day after day. This is how the game works. Guilds shouldn't have a purpose, if you ask me. Define your own purpose. This would take a ton of effort on the part of the development team to pull off, changes the game's formula and I can't say I want it.

Indeed,it would take a massive amount of work but the pay off works out for most everyone.the main reason people stop playing is because of the typical clockwork cycles so now players have more incentive to play, spiral knights gains more players(better for the company(s)),and guilds have a reason as many people would like, and PvP changed the formula and now its incredibly popular, either way,i imagine it to be going into clockworks during the conquests' and recon missions, the only different is that you fight more than monsters and fight for land, not very different at all really
