I'd rather take the CTR med, thanks.
Gran Faust's charge is pigslow and even more unusable than that of its predecessor, unless you stick a ton of CTR bonus on it.
Fiends keep moving too fast for a sword as heavy as the Gran Faust to be of much use. Add their shadow resistance, and the bonus might as well not exist in the first place... Probably the only fiends it can hit are Silkwings.

Depends on what the Valiane is being used for.
If that CTR High Valiance is being used in PvE, then that's a pretty crappy UV. If you use it for PvP, it shoul be amazing

It's just CTR (High, at that!) on a gun with a less highly rated charge. It can't compete with inappropriate monster UVs for suckitude.

Well, it can't have an innapropriate monster UV. It's normal damage. Though I don't find it very effective for fighting fiends, and it completely sucks against beasts. Still, if I didn't PvP, I would take Beast VH over CTR High. The Valiances charge needs some collateral damage to make it actually useful in PvE without making it unbalanced in PvP. Right now it's difficult to hit 2 monsters with it, and a miracle to hit 3. The knockback is awesome, but the damage isn't big enough for a single target, so it needs more of an area of effect. Really, I find no use for its charge anywhere in the clockworks.
