When I fire a charged attack from my Blaster, no bullet is seen and nothing in the path I am shooting to is destroyed. Is this normal?

are you right against a wall? i've noticed alot if you're near a wall that blocks projectiles (or gate especially) the charged shot seems to fizzle.
my personal guess is the charged shot's hitbox is so large that part of it sticks outside of you, so as soon as it fires it detects the wall and breaks. this can also happen if you're next to said wall and trying to shoot parallel to it.
